JiminSTL
^ Grace, graciousness, kindliness . . . often under-practiced, and never over-valued.
willland
To this day and probably until I die, the Andy Griffith Show is the greatest TV show ever created. IMO, of course. Ever wonder why Ron Howard(Opie) was not your typical child star statistic? Any interviews with Ron will usually mention his great family dynamic with his real family and the family dynamic on the show. He mentions often that Andy Griffith helped "shape his life". http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/ron-howard-remembers-andy-griffith-344553 Bill

Mighty Favog
A good friend has been a fan of the show for a long time. The friend took a job as a security assistant at the high school he and I both went to. The friend adopted Andy's demeanor for his job and it worked pretty well for about 10-12 years. Then that same school was the dumping ground for all the "malcontents" for the whole school system (think "The Principal" and you're close) and that demeanor was thrown out the window. Karsoncookie
Ya, very unfortunate. You can only deal with reason to those potentially open to it. Past some point, force, of the appropriate level, is needed. In the idyllic world of Mayberry, Anj never had to deal with true psychopathic violent incorrigibles.
