jason str
Have lots of people looking for pictures, tired of the spots and having no clarity of my current Samsung freebie i acquired years ago. This is about as good as it gets with inside pictures.

wvu80
Here is a pic of my La Scalas in Craig's Speaker Ranch with the Rebel. I believe the HQ pics helped to sell the LS's at the asking price.
ricktate
The yellow fridge in back is that an GE electric or old Gas powered fridge ? Great pics by the way.
jason str
Should have mentioned point and shoot. Not camera smart in the least bit but at least my old one took halfway decent pictures.
jason str
Was looking at this one, it will allow me to buy a tripod and memory card and stay in budget. Thoughts ?
CECAA850
Pretty much all of them have an "Automatic" setting that allows point and shoot.

I will second this. The Rebel is an awesome camera that you can point and shoot but also be able to grow into if you want to get serious with photography. Here is a T3 body for $150 and you can get some cheap lenses as well, the kit ones are about $65 used: https://www.amazon.com/Canon-Rebel-Digital-Camera-Imaging/dp/B005LW580O/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1471467518&sr=8-5&keywords=canon+rebel+t3 Lenses: General "Kit" lens, good to start out and are dirt cheap used due to the fact they come on most new cameras: https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B000V5K3FG/ref=sr_1_1_olp?ie=UTF8&qid=1471467722&sr=8-1&keywords=canon+18-55mm&condition=used 24mm 2.8- Still one of my favorite lenses. Its small, works in low light and is awesome for walking around. https://www.amazon.com/Canon-EF-S-24mm-2-8-Lens/dp/B00NI3BZ5K/ref=sr_1_fkmr1_2?s=photo&ie=UTF8&qid=1471467640&sr=1-2-fkmr1&keywords=canon+244+mm+2.8 50mm 1.8- One of the best low light lenses, is extremely sharp and has great "bokeh" (blurred background). This is good for product shots as it has almost no distortion. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00X8MRBCW/ref=psdc_173565_t1_B00NI3BZ5K
mustang guy
Jason, the EOS does point and shoot very well. It has a lot of other stuff it can do too. The BIG difference is that it is a DSLR, which means you can use different lenses. It also means the lens on it is better. That Kodak is OK, but it is not even in the same country as the EOS.

A DSLR will knock the socks of a point and shoot. Main reason is the physical size of the sensor. Just like Klipsch speakers, bigger is better. jason str
Interesting, the extra lenses on the first link confused me, i would not know what to do with extra lenses. My X-wife had a nice camera with a bunch of lenses but never got the hang of it and felt intimidated by it and believe me it takes a great deal to intimidate me. I will buy it then, maybe if i have questions you guys can help me out huh ? Thank you for the help.
jason str
Picked up the tripod as well, for $12 figured why not.
mustang guy
I know, $12 is crazy cheap isn't it. https://www.uwo.ca/visarts/resources/Sign-Out-Guides/Digital SLR Cameras/Rebel_Xti_400D.pdf This will give you an opportunity to do some reading while you wait for the camera to arrive. The green square is where I set mine most of the time. I don't mess too much with advanced stuff unless I am wanting a real fast shutter speed for taking pictures of fast moving things like race cars. This isn't the exact camera you are getting, but yours will have the green square. PS: you hold the picture button in part way to make it auto focus.
jason str
Good info. Yes, dirt cheap. Hope the tripod is not cardboard or something. Can't wait to try it out.

jason str
Metal=better than cardboard. A bit of natural light helps but pictures are still sad.
Marvel
Jason, Black is harder to photograph. What works really well is open shade or very overcast day. You want light on all sides. If the background is too bright, the metering will close the iris and the blacks will all disappear together (get much darker). You will get the hang of it. Just try some different lighting. (It can be hard on the back if you have to move larger speakers though. ) Bruce
