wvu80
Great price, but I'm not sure how to read the s/n. The file on that leaves the s/n code about the year 2000 and has not been updated. The s/n is 0673911891 Quote 1984-1989(?) YY WW #### (89281234) 1990-1997(?) DOY Y2Y1 #### (135791234) DOY= day of the year Y2Y1=2nd digit of year, 1st digit of year 1998-2000 YY WW #### (00281234) YY=year (i.e. 99,00…) WW=week of the year Date code on drivers (1994) Example – 9429 = 1994, 29th week of the year / YYWW

DizRotus
It's always interesting how much detail (usually at least slightly inaccurate) sellers go into when describing Klipschorns. If prospective buyers aren't already familiar with the product and the story, the best sales pitch in the world will not convince them to part with thousands of dollars for old speakers. These beauties will sell themselves to the right, knowledgeable, buyer. It's also interesting to note the extensive catch-all search engine friendly who's who list of audio brands does not include Bose, despite mentioning Quad, Tandberg and Coda twice, each.
