Last reasonable size, stable Windows that did everything one really needs to do.  Could be installed in 100MB space.  Bleeding registry is that big or more now, and it does nothing but clog up with leftover crap.

Yes if you install Oracle virtual something or other which lets you install Windows 98 on a Windows 7, 8, or 10 computer as a separate system. IT people use this to test their stuff on all the different systems. I have the Windows XP mode (XP-3) installed on one of my Windows 7 Pro machines. I haven't flogged it out very much but it seems to work.

Sure you can

You can still chisel words onto stone tablets if you want as well.

The only reason to use 98 is if you had Millenium .

I would rather bang my head against a stone tablet than use Millenium

Man.....you could not have said it any better.

But let me know if you need some floppy disks.

I got a 5 gallon bucket full

George,

Sometimes you have to use a floppy to install the motherboard bios when things get out of hand.

I still use DOS 5 and Win98 on a computer here for my work. It's a 386 machine. In addition to some DOS based analytical software,  I'm using Wordperfect 5.1 for report writing and invoicing. This machine has never been connected to the internet.
