Hello Paul, just checking, is it 10:30AM Monday where you are?   I was watching the Australian ABC news today, they were showing all the scenes of water damage from the 'water bomb' as they call it :o

A quick update on the current Brisbane floods  Feb 28 - 2022

Last night around 8 pm we had a prepare to evacuate notice sent to us via text

My moto is prepare but “ Don’t Panic “

Luckily the water came close as 150 meters from our home but all roads are cut and we have only one road in and out - but limited to where we can go afield

Near our street

FDC19701-C587-4-CF0-9-C84-10-FF2824613-B

Main road cut off in several places

Traffic jamb in a very quiet leafy suburb

Closing the night out with a real nice Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab, One Step, 45 rpm recording.  This one is 1384 of 3000.  I have only ever played it twice.  That second time, I transcribed it over to two track, 15 ips,           IEC equalization, magnetic tape.

Bill Evans Trio - Sunday at the Village Vanguard.

Thanks so much Paul for sharing the photos of your situation!  We appreciate it, and I hope you and yours stay safe!    With that, heading off to bed very soon, it has been a lovely session on RTM and here on Vinyl.   We'll be back with more soon!   Final photo from Longfellow Music Hall as Side 2 from Bill Evans 'Sunday at the Village Vanguard' plays on................good night my friends.  🌙IMG-0282.jpg

Stay safe Paul...Hope that storm is over and the water quickly recedes.

We are safe and dry for now

Record collection is intact 😎

This flood is lower that the last 2 or 3 floods but the rain downpours lasting many days were  simply massive - measured in feet per day

We live 2 or 3 streets from the Brisbane river - I chose a block of land over 30 years ago that was slightly higher and not affected by earlier flood events

Thats no guarantee we won’t be affected in the future

With nature, there are never guarantees...just hope it dries out before the next willy willy.
