Dave1291 Posted March 5, 2022 Posted March 5, 2022 Got me thinkin now Mossy... Lil guitar boogie always works... Guitar Boogie is a blues rock compilation album featuring Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page together with the Allstars and members of The Rolling Stones. The album was released in the US in 1971 by RCA Records 4 2 Quote

sputnik Posted March 5, 2022 Posted March 5, 2022 The Mark Isham score from Never Cry Wolf truly captures the feeling of the Arctic. It’s snowing a bit and I can hear a couple of owls out in the trees to accompany the music tonight. 4 Quote

My Fender acoustic guitar has been on display for 40+ years I gave up that pursuit a long time ago, and became an audiophile 🤪 4 1 Quote

Islander Posted March 5, 2022 Posted March 5, 2022 sputnik, I was playing that very LP last week. What are the odds? Have you heard The Art of Tea or Tiger in the Rain, two of Michael Franks's best LPs? Interesting fact about that image: when Gauguin arrived in Tahiti, contrary to his imagination and his paintings, the native women's clothing was not usually topless, since Christian missionaries had arrived and changed the culture decades before. Accordingly, his Tahitian paintings were composed from his imagination, not from the reality around him. "Hey, a guy can dream." is probably what he was thinking when he was creating his paintings and sending them to his art dealer in France. 3 Quote

Islander Posted March 5, 2022 Posted March 5, 2022 That’s a pretty technical-looking turntable. Is the stand part of the assembly? That looks like it might be a radio broadcast table. Am I guessing right? 1 Quote

I may have the other somewhere - I’m trimming back and culling through boxes of LPs lately to try to fit them into a reasonable space in our livingroom. 5 Quote
