keith50
Wow, these were on Craigslist for about 6 months and the seller would not give a price. Did you buy these off that guy and flipping or are you the original owner? Good luck with your sell.
summitceo
Thank you. A relative had put them on Craigslist for a couple of weeks at the most, not 6 months.. They've been owned by my family since new. Edited March 16, 2017 by summitceo
eth2
You are certainly free to ask whatever you wish, but have you researched selling prices for Heresy I's?Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

HDBRbuilder
They went for under 550 bucks a pair NEW in 1982, or at least that where the MSRP fell.

It depends on how you figure inflation rates...I paid 599 bucks for a 19" Zenith Chromacolor II table top tv in around 1982....and now I can get THREE 32" Sanyo LED TV units for that price....see what I mean? Besides, the cabinets are damaged on those Heresys...one for sure has "potted plant" water damage on its top and at least one side of one has a scratch across the grain of the veneer....just from a quick look at the pics he posted on ebay. Electronics have generally gone down in price over the years...and for a simple cabinet build like the Heresy, it isn't like you are paying for extreme labor costs over the years when a pair can be knocked out in under 15 minutes for the assembly time, alone. Inflation rate calculators do NOT take anything into account other than straight inflation. There is much more involved in determining real value. Me?....I wouldn't give more than 450 bucks for them shipping included!
CECAA850
I was speaking strictly of inflation, not speaker value. Coming out of your pocket with $550 dollars for anything in 1982 is like coming out of your pocket $1412 today.

Srinath
My sony combo box system complete with speakers - HST211 cost me $420 or so from circuit city in 1992. I bought an "upgraded" 6 cd cartridge style cd player for $125 a few months later. A nice even $550. Can I trade that for these Heresys ?? I'll even deliver my system and haul away these Old things. Cool. Srinath.
CECAA850
I just saw that this was in the Garage sale and not the alerts. Sorry for the thread drift. Everyone please keep future posts about the sale of these speakers only. My apologies as I was as guilty as everyone else.
