Woofers and Tweeters
I'll be selling my RB35, soon, to help fund buying RB75. Making sure that I keep the cart in front of the horse, I want to score the RB75, first (this will let me AB them). Who has a pair of RB75 FS? Thanks, James
Moderators Youthman Posted July 10, 2017 Moderators Share Posted July 10, 2017 Good luck with the search James. I've owned both and feel the RB-75 is a very nice upgrade over the RB-35.
teaman
Hey James, my RB-81's are an upgrade from my RB-35's, at least to my ears. If the RB-75's are better than the RB-81's as I read many times that they are, then I would say it will be an easy decision for you to make in the comparison. I have never had the pleasure of hearing or even seeing the 75's but my 81's are similar in size to the 75's I believe, which are not much smaller than my Heresies.....and the amount of quality sound they present is pretty amazing. willland
I have owned 3 pairs of RB-35's over the last 10 years and have enjoyed them very much. I had my latest pair up until about 3 years ago and only sold them because of my acquisition of a cherry pair of RB-75's. Though I do think the RB-35's performed very well, the RB-75's took it to a whole new level in every way. Good luck in your search. Coleman
The 1.75 compression driver is what makes the 75's sing. By far the best bookshelf I've heard from the reference series. I'd like to compare the P17's to these but doubt that will ever happen.
Coleman
What are you looking to spend on a pair of 75's? Mine would be for sale if the price was right.
richieb
^^^^^ As an attorney might say - "Leading your honor". I own 75's, don't need 75's but with how your question is positioned, I'll give you $250/pr. ?

Thanks, James I believe that you'll be pleasantly surprised by the difference in sound quality between the two no doubt. I tell you what (in my opinion) is a nice step up from the 75's is dual RC-7's and they're really not that much bigger. Good luck with your search!

Woofers and Tweeters
Thank for the encouragement from everyone. When looking for equipment, I've had great luck when I have reached out to you all one here before - still enjoying the Luxman R117.
W27
I'm not sure where you're located but there's been a pair of RB75's for sale on my local CL in NYC for a while. Unfortunately they're scratched up, but maybe you could get them cheap if interested.
