MeloManiac
I own a set of RP 160M speakers. The tweeter is rubbery and sticky and the dust literally sticks to it. If I use my finger on it, the dust stays on the rubber, not on my finger. So how do I clean the tweeters?
jason str
First thing i would try is a damp lint free towel or old undershirt, put some dishwashing soap in the water when wetting the cloth. Avoid over wetting the cloth so not to drip anywhere. This is the safest route, may as well try that first.
Budman
goo-gone comes in a spray bottle
jason str
Avoid goo gone ( contains Petroleum distillates ). 100% Silicone spray may work.
Ceptorman
I believe I would live with it unless I knew of a way that works and won't damage anything. I don't think the dust will affect the tweeter.
babadono
Call Klipsch. You can't be the first person to have this problem.

I've read here that Klipsch' after sales support is terrible. There 's easily a ten day wait before they even send you a support ticket... 😉 I guess that was mean... Shiva
Perhaps, a gently applied lint roller might do the trick. Another is to grab a little piece of scotch tape and dab it on the tweeter lightly and see if the dust lifts.
MeloManiac
Well, I gathered all my courage and cleaned the dust off the tweeters with a wet kitchen towel and all is fine! Being slightly hyperbolic... 😉
Schu
I'd try 303 protectant... came out of nasa and has UV protection built in. I think I'd use it on my 402's.... if I had 402's.
