Pats3of4
I have read that PK designed the Heresy to sit on the floor. It’s too low for my liking but…. Also, should they have badges of any kind? They have the red surrounds on the woofers. Why?
Pats3of4
I way overpaid with shipping but I was down to a pair of RB-5’s. Not enough Klipsch. Heresy’s are my favorite.
Pats3of4
I was going to repair the chip on the plywood. I thought of having the cabs veneered. I’ll screw it up. I can do most anything but every veneer job I tried looks like crap

Pats3of4
Also these yellow, flat caps. No big cans?

Why? they should have period correct badges, pie logo up to 75 and lasers for 76-77-78 red surrounds are EV woofers and crossovers should have the cans and no risers

wuzzzer
Yellow flat caps sound like the ones provided by JEM Performance.
OO1
Laser badges over the tweeters are a must , since they look awesome however ,no risers the Pie badges are more in line with 1975 , but nothing beats a 1976 copper laser badge ,
ricktate
Just get you some rubber door stops to raise the front. I would also put a seal on back panel to seal it. You could also reenforce it with a smaller layer of ply on the inside. I would just repair the bad part on the front. But veneering is not that hard. The badges probably fell off long ago. Pats3of4
Aren’t these 1975 with that serial number?

rockhound
Very nice the decorator heresy is my favorite heresy besides the exotic wood veneered ones. I sold the pair I had and have regretted it everyday since.
jcn3
@Pats3of4 -- nice looking '75 decorator heresys! i've also got some 75 heresys -- they came with the exact same components and crossovers. they even had the oil caps replaced with what sounds like what you have -- my caps were +- 10% and of unknown provenance, so i did order klipsch replacements from @JEM Performance. i also have those cool looking red/orange surrounds on my woofers!
