RRR
One of those ideas not sure is out there but bet you can build a subwoofer horn in the stud cavity in your wall using nothing but simple supplies and cheap little driver. Maybe it's been done and just haven't seen it.

Almost certain this has been done using wall, attic as a box/ space. Architectural... Edited February 24, 2022 by billybob
RRR
Little 4-5 1/2" likely so the drywall needs little more than caulk and few dowel braces at most.

You will know after playing abit where to brace. Yes, not deep. Wall that is unless cavity used behind into a closet or other dead, unused space.

Not like putting an entire sub into the wall, less invasive in minimal terms of construct. Passive the more than 1 architectural sub like the 5802 mentioned. Hide the lfe or speaker cable to powered/passive sub. Put an innocent grille to hide and viola.
RRR
Rear loaded, run the wire down the horn throat. Grille covers over the mouth and driver to hide can work too.

jjptkd
You got it all wrong you need to build it under the floor like this guy 4
jjptkd
Very cool idea really even if you had to furr the wall out a little to make it work might be worth it
wuzzzer
If you want something hidden, look into a Hoverboss.

billybob
It will test the studs, wall, nerves, to minimize vibrations. Rubber, other insulating material would likely help. Guessing free up floorspace and, not certain of motivation for "hidden"but, there are women whose names will not mention that prefer no subs. Even some men who feel that a sub should not be seen or heard.
RRR
The $50 Tang Band 5 1/4" will work with a little spacer behind as it's a little deeper than a normal stud cavity.
RRR
Wall height varies I guess so we keep this basic and mounting to drywall sounds iffy so I drew this up. A 2x2 or similar brace center above mouth. Use good silicone for sealant.

Kalifornian
Infinite baffle ceiling mounted “vents” directly into attic. You can brace it better. I’m thinking the drywall won’t hold up to the vibrations as well with wall mounted. 1
RRR
I don't think that little 5" woofer will create enough pressure to make an issue but easy fix by furring out the wall 1/2" maybe giving space for a larger driver. I'm all for infinite baffle as long as they run in pairs but that's another thread and by far more costly my guess.
