AZMike Posted June 11, 2022 Share Posted June 11, 2022 Bought some RCA cables today that have stainless steel or aluminum braided shielding. Very heavy cable with Vampire logo on the rca ends. In unbalanced connections the shield is the power ground and the signal ground. I just would never do that. It is just inviting problems in my way of thinking. If my memory serves me, in good old days, mid 80s to mind 90s, Vampire was one of several million cable manufacturers whose claim to fame was increasing margins at audio stores.
