m00n
It feels good to be loved and all , but hey... I'm not going anywhere. I think I may have over stated myself. I'm just feeling kinda like the rest of you all, wanna see the childish poop go away. Also I find it sad that in a forum such as this, we have to have a forum nazi (Amy) controling the place. I don't mean that in disrespect to Amy in any way shape or form.... Better said, I think it's sad that this place NEEDs that kind of control because of a few bad apples. Amy is just doing her job, it's just too bad she was needed in the first place. I would expect the childish behavior to stay on the gaming forums. Audible Nectar
I was visiting Edster00 a few weeks back, and I told him: The worst thing you could possibly do as a quality member of this forum is leave. If the quality goes away, guess who's left: "the undesireables". Want proof? Check out rec.audio on usenet. It's an absolute mess. Therefore, it is up to us to maintain a certain level of decorum (excepting self falling hook, line, and sinker like a largemouth bass on political threads, of course), and to respect each other's opinions, and others just the same. Furthermore, we should defend what is ours - the best audio forum on the internet. Don't let the morons ruin it for us. If what they post is, as PWK retorted, B.S, then let the B.S. speak for itself (and if obscene, remove if necessary - but ONLY when necessary). Whether it's political, topological, chronological, or just plain illogical, as long as we respect each other, it's all good. In regards to the off-topic, I'm entirely OK with ANY off-topic topic - in fact, these topics in the General Questions allow us to find out much more about each other than just audio. Sure, this site is first and foremost a Klipsch promotional device, but there are REAL people in here, with much to share about many things. Just like on the audio topics, we change our minds, too, and LEARN. Remember this "tubes, not a chance" SS loon, who was convinced he was wrong?? And I'm glad I was proven wrong, because I'm better off for it. Who knows, maybe some Klipsch forum member would cause me to go conservative Anything is possible when intelligent and cordial debate rules the day. Oh, and Amy, I know what the rules are, and I'm all good with that Believe me, I have no ideas on replacing Fini as "Official Forum Threadkiller" So finally, allow me to ask Mr. m00n and the other quality members of this forum: WILL YOU DEFEND THIS HOUSE? I WILL!

tpg
I miss this place... It has been a long time since I have sat down and looked through all the forums... just did that tonight and saw this thread. I have nothing to do tonight... for the first time in a LONG time. Just finished a headphone amp for one of my friends (I am selling these little things now... and doing pretty well at it) and am now giving it a listening test... must say it is the best amp I have built to date. I usually don't have much time to come to these forums anymore... I check every now and then, but never read anything... only stop by for a second. I suppose I need to spend more time here again. It sucks that there are still "children" here that cannot get along and continually post offensive matter. I got really tired of that in the ProMedia forums when I frequented that area of the forums... so I came to the Home Audio sections... and apparently the leak has spread. I suppose I have probably been forgotten by many here... and it seems as though a few members I remember have left already... and the 2-channel forum was apparently the cause of wedges being driven between some members. For those who remember me... I am now 18 (well, have been for 6 months already...) and have graduated high school as an honor graduate with 4.5 GPA for this year. Now for college... *sigh* Anyway... I probably would not have posted today except that I saw Clu's post and decided to read it... then saw Clu's picture of all the BB members on the floating La Scalas. I remember when that was first created... it was hilarious... and still is funny now. So, if for no other reason, I felt that I had to post something about that picture. I miss this place... but if it is still torn by disagreements and posting of obscene images, I am not so sure I am ready to come back. But, I am going to try to show up a little more often. Until next time- keep the Klipsches rocking.
Kyler Cavers
Im only 16 and I hope I havn't annoyed anyone with noob type questions. I have enjoyed the smart and very interesting responses to my posts and thank you all for your help. I think that these forums have gone away from their original theme being "Klipsch" I havn't seen any porn links yet but I have seen some immature cheap shots between members. I think all of that should go, Klipsch is a hobbie not a controvesy and young people who come on and try to promote other companies products (at the expense of Klipschs') should be banned. Stop interfering with us happy Klipschers' stop adding bad links, stop neglecting other members and first and foremost grow up! Why are there so many people out there who love conflict? Daddy Dee
Kyler, You are right on track with your observations. Also, would want to set you at ease about wondering if you have offended anyone with your "noob" questions. IMO the Klipsch forum is among the rarest of internet communities because of the hospitality shown to folks here. There is an impressive knowledge base here and most often is shared graciously. Glad you found the place!

jt1stcav
I, too have missed these latest porn threads, and even if I knew they were here, I'd either not open the thread, or once I was aware of it I'd get off the thread immediately. But whether it be porn or trolls lookin' for an argument, if you begin to read such tripe, back out of 'em and let Amy know ASAP! Cluless and others also have the right idea...this problem needs to be nipped in the bud as soon as we're aware of it, and us decent members need to keep from fanning the flames. Let's not continue these threads with shouting matches; the trolls eat this up! And I don't want to lose m00n, tpg, mobile homeless, or any other longtime friends of these forums because of such behavior. Definately stick around...we all need eachother if we want these unique Klipsch Forums to survive. It's the best forum on the internet as far as I'm concerned, and we all want it to continue that way for all the new members who join our ranks! We don't ever want a new member to regret ever becoming a member of the legendary Klipsch Forums!
