KT66
Some where I read PWK had attended Cow college, what ever that is, in his formative years. I've often wondered if that was where he developed an interest in horns?

3dzapper
"Cow College" is what PWK called his alma mater (Arizona). Since first reading that line in Rolling Stone in '74,I have been known to steal his line myself (RI School of Radio and Electronics, RI College). jtkinney
Close, but wrong state. It was New Mexico State, in Las Cruces, near El Paso. If you have ever driven along I10 between Las Cruces and El Paso, you would know why. There are several dairy operations, can't call them farms, along the interstate. Bad smell is an understatement. 3dzapper
Closest I ever came was Ammarillo AFB in Texas. Basic training was the worst four weeks of my life! Rick
WMcD
More information is available in my 1/24/05 post in Technical Questions of an interview of PWK. Maybe the cows in New Mexico prepared him for the chickens in Hope. Gil

And if you want smell, try the stock yards of Kansas City. Ho - boy. I think many land grant A&M colleges are referred to as Cow College. I went to Mississippi State University which once was an A&M school. We referred to it as Cow College and Moo U. Tom

ooteedee
Seeing all those cattle probably gave PWK the idea of using horns. But that was after his failed "udder speakers".

Marvel
There's a lot at "steak" here. Maybe we should just moo-ve on? I'll probably have to hide out after these. I always say I went to the State Agricultural Mechanical Normal College. Marvel ps Great Lakes NTC in Jan is just awful. I was there in '69.
