SCOOTERDOG
This is a pic of the Perrine bridge with the snake river below here in Twin Falls. This is only one of a few bridges in the USA where you can base jump from. scooter

customsteve01
This is more of a Japanese landmark than a US one. Trukk Lagoon in the South Pacific Ocean. Was on a live aboard dive boat for a week. No phone, no TV, no news paper, it was great and very relaxing. Steve
customsteve01
Here are a couple of pictures of the wrecks below the surface. Hard to believe that these trucks have been down for more than 60 years. This is a ships bridge. I didn't take the underwater pictures, but I was there. Steve
Mighty Favog
Sputnik - Here's the the bridge John Roebling finished in 1866 as a model for the Brooklyn Bridge. This one is only about 2/3's as long.
Thumpelstiltskin
This sign is beside the road near The Breaks Interstate Park on the Kentucky - Virginia border. I was about 10 years old the first time I saw it and never forgot about this poor guy. Rick

Remember "Close Encounters of the Third Kind"? Going from Devil's Tower, here is Saviour's Tower (right) in Red Square with Lenin's Tomb and Intercession Cathedral (St. Basil's). Sorry about the poor quality scan - I'm still futzing with my slide scanner.

sputnik
More pics - I'm scanning slides like crazy. We snowmobiled into Yellowstone for the Y2K New Years Eve. Here are a couple of shots from January 1, 2000. Dawn eruption of Old Faithful. January 1, 2000. Fifteen degrees below zero (wife claims 50 below zero). Later that day at the Lower Falls in the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone.

Here's a shot from a 1996 project I was working on along the Barents Sea coast in Russia - directly across the pole from your shot. It's an offshore shot of a Nenets fishing outpost just before dawn.
