Painful Reality
I recently spent some time listening to some high powered PP. Interesting experience. High power PP offers a unique and somewhat larger window into which real music is less compressed but deprived of the life of music when reaching out into the listeners ears. It's quite attractive at the high loudness high powered PP is capable of. It's like listening to Jurassic Park on a home theatre. It amazes me that those that listen exclusively to these amplifiers, don't recognise this. One high powered PP amplifier I listened to, in fact two Bogen MO-100A were amazing. Amazing that so much amplifier made so little life! I wouldn't attempt to drive a Klipschorn with these. You would need a Magneplanar perhaps a B&W to do justice to your music. Meanwhile I'm going to dance to the sound of my low powered PP at 90 dB. and ride this beauty... See you in 7 pages?
NOSValves
I would imagine them Bogen PA amps would be amazing.

Deang
Oh my Lord, look at all that test gear. Do you actually know how to use it!! Ha! I bet you don't have a multimeter though -- can't do much without one of those.

3dzapper
Jeff, That picture of you reminds me of why I don't do bicycling, any sport where Spandex is the uniform of the day isn't for me!
Painful Reality
My low power amp do not allow me to play Iron Maiden at 110 dB to satisfy my Spandex craving. I do bike instead to get my fix.

Painful Reality
Looks like a cross between the Batmobile and a El Camino! Didn't Batman wore Spandex? If you want to ride fast, might as well to do it with style!
Mighty Favog
Painful Reality- Is that the head of Falcor from the Never Ending Story behind you on the top shelf??
Painful Reality
Sorry, the only Never Ending Story I know of is a certain useless debate.
NOSValves
Actually that never ending debate has nothing to do with amplifiers anymore. Strictly personal vendetta's going on as usual. Craig
jt1stcav
So, where are all the PP bashers?

It doesn't sound digital enough. When I listen to CDs, I can't tell if I'm hearing a 1 or a 0. That's why I prefer digtal amplifiers, with lots of digital processing in the signal path.
