kenratboy
...more to come later. Good condition, but one woofer, at high-levels, seems to have a very slight buzzing (but everything works fine) - probably a wire or something I can fix.
Olorin
Have I told you lately that you suck? Congrats on the score! You've got what, $200 total in a pair of Chorus IIs and a pair of Heresy IIs now? (tangent) Ooh, nifty! My 1,000th post! (end tangent)
dodger
Congrats on the 1,000th. Ken: contact your local PD and have the serial numbers run.
rplace
1,000 That is about as exciting or depressing (pick one) as 89 dollar Heresies. Seriously great score on the speakers and congrats on the 1,000!
kenratboy
Frzninvt told me a pawn shop in town had a RC-3 for $199.99 reduced to $99.99 (sticker says $399.99). If you print the page off the net, it is 10% off ($89.99). Went in, saw some Heresy II's, and low and behold, they were marked as a a pair of RC-3's! Asked the clerk and she said 'Damn, thats a good deal, let me get you rung up!' 20 minuites later I was home with my new Heresy II's. Oak cabinet with tweede grills. Except for the grills, the finish matches my Chorus II's. How well would they match Chorus II's as a center (just one speaker?) Frzninvt - thank you so much!!! Born2RockU
Hot Damn "Rat"... ...that is as close to FREE as you can get for H. II's !!!!!!! Congrat's ! now turn 'em up and ~ Rock On !

kenratboy
Oh, they are very dusty, but I will be doing some restoration today.

The little extra brightness in the heresy really boosts speach intelligibility for movies, yet the timbre difference isn't really enough to be noticeable on other material. tpg
Reading this is depressing... why do I keep paying so much? I put more money than that in my pairs of KG-2.5's when I bought them two or three years ago. Since, I've spent a few thousand or so... I am going to go lay down. kenratboy
Hey guys, they have those old school tweede (like straw tied together with brown thread) grills, that mean anything? I'll post pictures later.
psg
Yeah, mixed feelings here too. I'm happy for you, but jealous that there are very few Klipsch speakers here to get deals on. The best deal I saw on Heresy's around here is a pair of walnut oil for C$400 (around US$312). Good price, for here. And if I haven't spent that much on taxes for 27 year-old KHorns at the border, perhaps I would have bought them too!
kenratboy
Here is a pic with the grills on:
kenratboy
And off. There are no serial numbers, NOR STAPLE HOLES WHERE THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN ATTACHED IN THE FIRST PLACE - no sign of glue, residue, fading, etc. Either they never went on or they were not stapled on or were taken off when purchased. I need a center to use with my Chorus II's and have been considering a single Heresy. Does this mean you will charge me $44.99 for your spare? kenratboy
First I need to know if the grills are special If they are, I will try and find black grills and ditch the 50's grills
stormin
Well congrats on the great score! Another thing....those grills rock leave em! Now excuse me while i go puke....189.00 total for chorus II's and hersey II's. Pawn shops around here have 20.00 speakers on sale for 100.00. Olorin congrats on the 1000th...wait feelin sick again all in a year and a half.
wheelman
Ken nice score man! Those grills are *****en retro. I'd don't think I would get rid of those. If you like black get black, but hold on to those grills. I know a guy who builds guitar cabs, and grills like that just cost more.
