Born2RockU
billyjoe72 : Yes, Peart was everyones influence in the 80's and 90"s . What Rock fan hasn't hear "Tom Sawyer" ? I am a music educator by profession and have made so much money off of teaching my clients the theory and technique of Rush's Peart ! If you would like to play my drumset in that photo above, then you must catch us when we come thru and play your town. (What city are you in ? ) I am in the official Queensryche tribute band....MINDCRIME. We are finishing up our summer tour of Texas this weekend in San Antonio and will be expanding to many other stated, ...due to the recent attention that Queensryche is getting w/ their next new release in January 2006 of "Operation Mindcrime II". Keep an eye out for my tribute band, MINDCRIME, and just show up at the sound check at 4:30pm'ish. I get a 1/2 hour to soundcheck my drums from 4:30-5pm every show day. Maybe you could play the drums while I stand at the F.O.H. mixing console and adjust the tone and ambience. You are most welcomed to play my mammoth touring Yamaha drumset ...but I am sorry to say I couldn't give you a hour to do that in. I am restricted to my 1/2 hour soundcheck time for we have 5 other band members whom need to dial in their instruments before the full-band soundcheck at 6pm. ~ R O C K O N ~
billyjoe72
rocku.. I did a four year stay in El Paso 1984-88. Sorry to say I live in Columbus, Ohio now. I'm a big fan of Operation Mindcrime. I got to see them play it front to back on the Empire tour here in town. God, I couldn't remember the year. 1992, 3 or 4 I believe. You would know I hope they come around here with a tour again. He sure can hit those high notes. I'm not that great of a player, but I sure do like to make noise. I was house drummer for a couple years at a local bar here in town who had open stages everynight. That was the first time I played with anyone. Wow what a learning and nervous experience. It sure is fun just drinking a beer and jamming something old or making something up. Thanks for the invite. I will keep my eye out for you. Maybe someday you can charge $40-50 a ticket for your gigs. One last note, Rush has always been my favorite band. I have probably seen them at least 25-30 times. I would have to count my stubs laying around. Nothing better than listening to three ( only three ) guys make that much sound. If not live....then through my klipsch. P.S. favorite Rush song: The camera eye. favorite Queensryche: Speak Bill

picky
During Hockey Season, I enjoy using this Avatar of the Detroit Red Wings' "Winged-Wheeler" emblem and Captain, Steve Yzerman's #19: During the rest of the year, I enjoy using this Avatar of Billy Gibbons, Lead Guitarist of ZZ Top with his "Fuzzy Guitar". He's simply one of my favorite guitarists. I use the screen name "Picky" Because I am picky about my audio equipment. And that's why I own Klipsch!
