thebes
...a little music please. Borrowed a friends 1962 Pontiac Station Wagon, the coolers all packed, we got beach chairs, suntan lotion, bug repellent, a tent ,Coleman grill and lantern, rear seats folded down with a mattress in the back, and we got a Promedia 2.1 setup with a cd player that can all be hooked into the wagon's extra battery. I'm wearing stripe shorts, mid-calf socks, black shoes and a madras shirt with pork pie hat to round off the ansamble, The Twins look spectacular. Tickles is wearing sneakers, very low cut blue-jean shorts, a tank top and her hair is braided down the back almost to her buns. Tanwy's barefoot with Torredor pants, a pink polka dot blouse, rhinestone shades and is chewing bubble gum. Tickels is singing the lyrics to "Yellow Polka Dot Bikini: (I thnk her grandmother taught her the lyrics) and Tawny's head's whipping back and forth to Megadeath which is coming over this cute little 1950's transistor radio I bought her. We're heading out on the highway and we need travelin tunes.Sure I got some Boss, some Radiohead and, of course, some Steppenwolf. I've planned our itenerary so I won't be more than an 1/2 hours drive from a record store to replensih our stock along the way. Don't let me down guys. I had to do a lot of whinning, weedling etc. to get them out on the road ("What do you mean you traded in the tickets to Aruba to pay the mortgage!) so don't me down. A little traveling music and hurry!

thebes
Whoa this is great, posting this from a roadside greasy spoon. The Twins are loving the selections, I've hit two record stores already. Man the whole car is shaking as we bop down the highway. Tickles is blowing bubble gum, and Tawny keeeps waving one of those little plastic windmill thingies on a stick out the window. Glad we aren't in a convertable, gawking young males and truckdrivers are swerving all over the road. I think it's time to turn up the sound a little more, so keep them coming. Gilbert
Anything or Everything from "THE ESSENTIAL BOB DYLAN" CD. Anything from NEIL YOUNG or if your feelin contemporary....try some Foo Fighters or White Stripes, if the twins are wild and frisky then.....White Stripes, definitely....try the ELEPHANT album. thebes
This is great!! (think Flounder in Animal House). We find a for real orginal still showing movies drive-in movie theater! We settle in with some popcorn, candied apples, etc, have no idea what the movie is about, The Twins start yawnning, head off to the snack stand, slip into their PJ's (causing a near riot in the process) and are now asleeep on the matress set up in the rear of the Pontiac. Sucking a Near Beer, eyes glaszed reflecting on the day, look in the back and Tickles still a smudge of candy aple on her cheek. Sure, to most folks they are just jet-setting euro trash, but I like to think they have discovered a certain innocence, a sense fo place and time, during their sojurn on our shores. I could be wrong though because the matress is at least 20 years old and they might be a little grumpy in the morning. Only cure is to start early, throw some early morning rock on in player and ease them into the day. Any suggestions?
