Jeff Matthews
I remember the guy, but I can't place a name. Not The Avengers?
garymd
Not The Avengers. There was another series in the 60s that had a very similiar name.[:^)]
garymd
Another Hint:US police series in which Lee Marvin played a Chicago plainclothes policeman. Starring Lee Marvin as Lt. Frank Ballinger, of the Chicago Police Department with Paul Newlan as Captain Gray. The Count Basie theme music and the Benny Carter background score, coupled with some incredible location shots around Chicago, made "_________" much better than any plot description could ever convey, and Lee Marvin was so imposing as Ballinger, who exuded the potential for violence in his every move, that "_________" ended up as one of the most memorable cop shows in history.
