J.4knee
So what are the chances we'll get to here one of them there new triangular subs? Preferably with a Heritage rig.
seti
I just want to hear the complete heritage line again. I don't recall any subs in that room but who needs subs when you have those big magic speakers : )
Klipsch Employees Trey Cannon Posted February 8, 2006 Klipsch Employees Share Posted February 8, 2006 I have not thought about that yet. We will hear the Heritage line. REF 4, (at lest the 63,83 & 64, as they are built in Hope) Something I am jazzed about is the K-600 system. IF it works out, this will be my first time hearing it...it is a pro touring system. Buy the way, I may need some help with sound and lights for the show Sat night. So Dr. Who, you may get to show off you skills behind the mixer.... kaiser SET say
Trey, I have slept a bunch since last years visit to Hope but if my memory serves me right and Seti can back me up he had asked about hearing this or that and you piped in with the old all you have to do is ask[] How about getting a pair of Jubilee's out at the Ranch on Friday night? Don't want to step on any feet but also seemed like Chris mentioned that he had (1) at the house but I'm not positive....Chris if you see this post! Just thought they could hold the wieght of any bass needed in that great room[] I sure know it sealed the deal for me and my HT mains when Roy lit them up in the demo room, I'll never be the same and you could not sell me 20 sub woofers after hearing Hotel California on those babies[] I'm hoping to have my Industrial Finish LaScalla's back together for the event but no guts and 3 pay checks before then might be a tall order[] All you have to do is ask[:-*]
Daddy Dee
Trey, Could you say more about the K-600 system? I don't know if I've heard anything about that.
DrWho
I think it would be such a treat for everyone to hear the klipch pro lineup and even cooler with a live band...The pro speakers are actually what got me hooked on klipsch and it would be so fun to compare the live sound directly with the home sound. Ya know....it might be a fun project to record the concert live and come back the next day with a recording for everyone. I know I'm always talkin on the forums about how the music was made and how that influences the design of our home systems - perhaps throw in a little demonstration of the process? If someone had a nice laptop and then depending on the console being used it would just be a matter of a few more patch cables and a firewire/usb multi-channel interface (I might even have access to a Motu...). I know someone was mentioning the option of bringing reel to reel...perhaps do some comparisons between tracking to digital and tracking to analog. Another fun idea would be to have a karaoke after the band finishes...I'm sure everyone would love to hear Roger belt it out []
J.4knee
"Another fun idea would be to have a karaoke after the band finishes...I'm sure everyone would love to hear Roger belt it out " Whew!!!! DrWho
lol, you could even put a gun to my head and I would still refuse to sing...it's that bad []
Klipsch Employees Trey Cannon Posted February 10, 2006 Klipsch Employees Share Posted February 10, 2006 I am with you Who...I stay behind the mixer ....no need to kill the party early due to Who an me singing... BTW< we will need to shut the music off at 12 or so. I may be able to bring a pc with 8 I/O and pro-tools. could be fun and yes the mixer is a mackie 24/48 8 sub outs and I/O on each ch. It will work well for a recording mixer.
kaiser SET say
Thanks for answering the time question Trey as I forgot to call Paula's office back with that question! Overkill can be very good sometimes[]
seti
BTW< we will need to shut the music off at 12 or so. Major bummer I equated the term farmhouse to no neighbors.
BS Button
We should also get on some Jubilee's of some sort....

meagain
Trey - If this was happening in Indy, I'd be there - but AR is a tad far. I'll be depending on other's ears & their reviews. I was wondering if you or anyone else was planning to bring any RF-7's for a comparison of the new 83's? I think it would be interesting to hear the differences in them as so many here have the RF-7's and might want to get people's take on the 83's in comparison to better glean (have extra ears) to judge whether to upgrade. Just thought it would be interesting.
DrWho
I was thinking of making a mix CD to give anyone interested an idea as to the stuff I listen to...no full songs, just snippets and stuff all smoothly mixed together so it can be listened to in one sitting. I'm not sure what the copyright issues might be, but it would definetly make a good system demo (I might even write up a little booklet to talk about different things to listen to). I'll definetly have to provide some stuff to bring out the differences between lascala and cornwall []
