Mr. Widget
Chech this puppy out...anyone want to guess at the veneer? Owned by member RobBeam. Nicest Forte I've seen! Might be Macassar Ebony... the most spectacular pair of Klipschorns I ever saw were a pair in oiled Macassar Ebony. They were at a long time Klipsch dealer in Oakland California and were not for sale... I bet they helped the store sell plenty of Klipschorns! This Rosewood Klipschorn Posted by Chris Elm is easily the second most beautiful Klipschorn I've ever seen... and might have nudged the top honors if I actually saw it in person! Widget Right you are Mr. Widget... Here is the story behind this special pair...(from a post dated 8-24-2003 by RobBeam) ................ I was going to school and selling klipsch at a high end store part time when they stopped doing the exotic wood options. I'd always wanted a pair of the ebony fortes and called hem up when I found out they wouldn't be doing the special orders any longer. They had the last pair left and, at my request, took them out of the boxes and put a new inspection sticker on that Paul and the other two inspectors had signed. .................
