rcarlton
E-bay auction just ended for 1984 K-horns in Garland, Texas...$1,000. A friend of mine snagged them. Can you count the mistakes the seller made in this auction?
Arky
Nice snag. A little due diligence would have helped the seller...concert speakers indeed.
LeeW
Can you count the mistakes the seller made in this auction? I don't have enough fingers and toes, Lee
Spongeworthy
Unbelievable, I thought you guys were being hyper-critical, then I checked out the auction. $1500 loss for 5 minutes of work. Ouch!
rcarlton
Best I can tell from the pictures, they are 1984 oiled oak with AK crossovers. Looks like they have been stained a darker color. At least 1 speaker is missing an emblem. Not sure why he tore apart the top hat in the first picture.
seti
Now thats a good price and what I am looking for local. I have seen khorns sell for as low as $500 in the classifieds but now that I am looking I can't find a pair for under $1500. There is a pair of Brazilian Rosewood Khorns for sale $4000. Guest " "
If we can get this used k-horn market back on track maybe we all can get some 1000 k-horns. One mistake this seller made was not putting a post on this forum first so everyone here could hype him up and set his starting price at 2500. He probally paid 300 buck sfor them and is happy with the 700 he did make.

pzannucci
I'll probably be parting with a pair in the Austin area for 1400 obo since I have two pair and decided I can't use one pair where I wanted to.
Guest " "
Good of you to offer them here. Austin area folks take note.

rcarlton
Seller did not answer e-mails. Looks like the deal will fall through. Darn. My friend is still looking.

Moderators Travis In Austin Posted February 18, 2007 Moderators Share Posted February 18, 2007 Sorry to hear that. I think what usually happens is that when they go real low like that the seller gets contacted and is offered 1500, 1750 or even 2000. If it was an ebay deal I would compain everyway I know how, and I would send a letter to the seller requesting specific performance.
