...until you get used to listening to crap then you begin to think crap sounds good.

Naw, I think I just like crappy sound. I always compare two things, then pick the one that sounds the worst for my application.

Well then that explains the Jubilee............

I received my unit last week.

Sucks big time with my Lamhorns 1.8 (16 ohms load).

Hopefully it will be better on my CWs.

But as of now, color me unimpressed with the new cheapo hype.

Well, for my $129 it sounds pretty good. Much better than the pair of Monarchy Monoblocks that I just got rid of. You can send yours back to the MFGR and get your money back within 30 days. I'm keeping mine for the conversation piece value alone.

Could you describe what you heard?

Hopefully maybe it was just the impedance and the CWs will sound fine.

?!! Why did you fall for it?

Mostly because:

I wanted a low heat amp for the western australian climate.

My tube amps still have to be converted to 240 V line voltage.

Note to self... never follow the herd.

Footnote to self ......especially when Dean is the wagon master..

No bass, harsh high, horrible midrange.

Dr. Jeff, please read through this page: http://www.michael.mardis.com/sonic/sonic3.htm you're a smart guy, how much useable power do you really have with a 16 ohm load? You're description is the complete antithisis of how the sound is normally described by people, but lines up very well with the sound of a clipping amplifier. Also, through the midrange and high frequencies, these amps are very much like SET amps in that FR will track impedance. I can't find an impedance curve for the Lamm, but since it doesn't have multiple drivers and a network it should be relatively benign -- but you never know.

This guy seems to be O.K. with them, but I suppose his hearing is suspect as well.:)http://home.earthlink.net/~mobile_homeless/P6D/

Lamhorns? lol, go figure...

Not Klipsh. Not Bose.

Lamhorns are the perfect illustration that everything in audio is a compromise (and overpriced).

Trained audiophiles, according to your own definiton of it, have give it two thumbs up.

Not too many impurety in this wine...

But aromas some are preferring might be found lacking.

Try them with the CW's. Also, I'd let the amp play a solid day or two before rendering judgment. I left mine on a local FM station for a couple of days - with me out of the room during the 2 days - before I did any critical listening.
