Gilbert
They appear to be Malaysian Ebony, and they are just what the doctor ordered. Right in my back yard too...... mmmmmmmgoood.

TheEvan
Frzninvt, oui! I do believe that is Macassar Ebony. It must be a very rare bird for Klipsch. You'll see the occasional classical guitar (& steel string, I suppose) in Macassar Ebony. Beautiful stuff!
Groomlakearea51
Macassar Ebony sample (does not show the "knot" grain patterns)
Frzninvt
Macassar Ebony varies greatly that is not a really good example of the graining. The knots, colors, and striations would visible only be on the larger pieces. Oh yeah DIBS! Bwhaaa hahaha hahaha
rcarlton
Man, those are awesome. I have a friend who is watching them in Dallas. He was bitten by the Klipsch bug when he bought some oiled oak Heresy's with some Quartets thrown in. He has since collected Cornwall I's. Just moving up the food chain. greg928gts
Those are absolutely gorgeous. They remind me of the ones I just restored with the same kind of wild grain pattern. Greg

SilverSport
I WISH I could do something like that to my average Birch stained walnut K'Horns... Bill
greg928gts
Sorry, I should have included a link. www.dcchomes.com/Mkhorn.html Skip to the second page unless you want to read a lot of boring sales related stuff. Greg
BusaDude
Man, those are awesome. I have a friend who is watching them in Dallas. He was bitten by the Klipsch bug when he bought some oiled oak Heresy's with some Quartets thrown in. He has since collected Cornwall I's. Just moving up the food chain. He bought those Heresy's and Quartets from me. Hated to sell them, but needed the cash at the time (recovering from back surgery). Thankfully my back issues are behind me, so I've got to toss my hat into this as well... hopefully the price won't get out of hand. Rarely see these in the DFW area in this condition. Rudy81
This will be an interesting auction. The more I look at them, the more I want them. Question is going to be how out of hand is it going to get?
