Groomlakearea51
AND THE MILSAT VISIBLE FOR THE SYSTEMS SOUTH OF THE AZORES. THIS ONE COULD BE POTENTIALLY A DANGEROUS EVENT. IT HAS A LONG WAY TO GO (PLENTY OF TIME...) AND IS OVER WARM WATERS WITH LITTLE SHEAR TO BREAK IT UP.
Moderators dtel's wife Posted September 23, 2007 Moderators Share Posted September 23, 2007 I have to say Buddy (the grandson that is home schooled) hardly ever gets sick, but the grandchildren that attend public school are always sick. Antibiotics can be extremely rough on your system. I hope you get over it soon.
Groomlakearea51
dtel's wife: Thanks for the kind words!! So do I !!! I feel so bad, that I'm layed up doing some computer work and listening to some of the LP's that are back from the "Record Lady" who's sorting them out for me before the CD transfer operation. Watch the one off south of the Azores.......
Moderators dtel's wife Posted September 23, 2007 Moderators Share Posted September 23, 2007 Yes, that one looks like it has the potential to intensify. Seems like the NHC is a little concerned about it also.
Moderators dtel's wife Posted September 23, 2007 Moderators Share Posted September 23, 2007 We are getting more bad weather today than we got with that tropical depression on Saturday![]
Groomlakearea51
NHC is still concerned with the below three areas, in particular they are concerned with the area in the Atlantic off the Azores. It certainly bears watching. 1. THUNDERSTORMS HAVE INCREASED IN ASSOCIATION WITH A SMALL AREA OF LOWPRESSURE OVER THE SOUTHWESTERN GULF OF MEXICO. ALTHOUGHUPPER-LEVEL WINDS ARE CURRENTLY NOT FAVORABLE FOR SIGNIFICANTDEVELOPMENT...THIS SYSTEM HAS SOME POTENTIAL FOR TROPICAL CYCLONEFORMATION AS IT DRIFTS SLOWLY AND ERRATICALLY OVER THE NEXT DAY ORTWO.2. AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE ASSOCIATED WITH A TROPICAL WAVE IS LOCATEDIN THE VICINITY OF THE WINDWARD ISLANDS. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMSASSOCIATED WITH THIS SYSTEM ARE NOT WELL-ORGANIZED AT THIS TIME....BUT THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR THIS LOW TO BECOME A TROPICALDEPRESSION DURING THE NEXT DAY OR TWO AS IT MOVES NORTHWESTWARD ATABOUT 15 MPH. THE SYSTEM IS EXPECTED TO BRING SQUALLY WEATHER TOPORTIONS OF THE WINDWARD AND LEEWARD ISLANDS TODAY AND TOMORROW. INTERESTS IN THE LESSER ANTILLES SHOULD MONITOR THE PROGRESS OFTHIS SYSTEM.3. AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE ASSOCIATED WITH A TROPICAL WAVE IS LOCATEDABOUT 730 MILES WEST-SOUTHWEST OF THE CAPE VERDE ISLANDS. THISLARGE SYSTEM CONTINUES TO SHOW SIGNS OF ORGANIZATION...AND IT COULDDEVELOP INTO A TROPICAL DEPRESSION DURING THE NEXT DAY OR SO AS ITMOVES WEST-NORTHWESTWARD AT ABOUT 15 MPH. Groomlakearea51
Here's the track paths for the system that's passing the Windward's. If it develops, it will surely head into the Gulf.

Moderators dtel's wife Posted September 24, 2007 Moderators Share Posted September 24, 2007 I am sooooo glad you are back. I was beginning to get a little worried about you. If you didn't come back around today I was going to give you a call later and check on you. Welcome back, Groomey!

Dflip
As we get later in the hurricane season, we may get lucky. Number 2's line shows the greatest danger at the moment, but the conditions might not be right for hurricane development. Number 3 looks more likely, but the predictions today seem to have it winding down and going out to sea. The next day or two should provide a better clue. The interesting thing is that we have already have two Cat 5 hurricanes, so that should be the news of the season. The fact that they hit underdeveloped and underpopulated areas of Mexico and Honduras made them interesting, but nothing to worry about. Now, if Dean had taken a turn for the north, then it might have made Katrina seem like a piker. Hopefully, the good news continues.
Dflip
The latest images. We now have tropical depression twelve, although it looks like it will ultimately head out to sea, just like Jerry. 2. SHOWER ACTIVITY WITH THE AREA OF LOW PRESSURE IN THE LESSER ANTILLESHAS ALSO DIMINISHED THIS EVENING. THIS SYSTEM STILL HAS THEPOTENTIAL TO BECOME A TROPICAL DEPRESSION OVER THE NEXT DAY OR TWOAS IT MOVES NORTHWESTWARD THROUGH THE LEEWARD ISLANDS AT ABOUT 15MPH. THE LOW IS EXPECTED TO BRING SQUALLY WEATHER TO PORTIONS OFTHE LEEWARD ISLANDS THROUGH TUESDAY...AND INTO THE VIRGIN ISLANDSAND PUERTO RICO BY WEDNESDAY. INTERESTS IN THESE AREAS SHOULDMONITOR THE PROGRESS OF THIS SYSTEM.
