sunburnwilly
Didn't need to watch the clip I saw it live last week . One of the most amazing exchanges I have ever seen in any form of auto racing ! Been awhile since F1 has had me on the edge of my seat . GP of China is about to start now . Looks like a storm is rolling in . Should be interesting .

Gilbert
GP of China is over..... Lewis Hamilton screwed the pooche and parked it in the kitty litter (aka gravel trap). Lewis escentially handed the victory to Kimi Rikkionnen (or however you spell it). Now, with 1 race left to go, it's gonna be a 3 way fight for the world championship. That race will be in Brazil in 2 weeks. Lewis should pull it off (odds favor him), and if he does pull it off, he'll be the youngest ever F1 champion (19yrs) ever, and the first ever rookie to win the F1 championship. Lewis is incredibly fast, no doubt, but I think the jury is still out on whether or not he's the next Senna, it's just too early to tell. jheis
Hamilton is 22 (not 19), but yeah, if he pulls it out he'll be the first to win the World Championship in his rookie year (if someone who has been on McLaren's payroll since he was 10 years old can be considered a rookie). colterphoto1
it's a pretty good race if the guys show up on race day..... That's some pretty gutsy moves, can't believe how many times they are each run off the race course and battle their way back. Tremendous nerves on those drivers. Gilbert
Thats just AWSOME, I do believe they both have some brass you know whats... Steve They have specially built wheelbarrels to carry them to work. [:|] Your right James, my bad, Lewis is 22yrs old, don't know where I remembered that number, but Lewis will still be the youngest ever world champion, nudging out Fernando Alonso, who currently (but not likely for long) holds that distinction. Islander
Brave driving, but my buddy the F1 fan pointed out that the race should not even have been started, since the weather was so bad the medical helicopter could not have lifted off, even in the case of a life-threatening crash... Gilbert
Brave driving, but my buddy the F1 fan pointed out that the race should not even have been started, since the weather was so bad the medical helicopter could not have lifted off, even in the case of a life-threatening crash... The race weater conditions were quite bad, but not too bad for the MEDIVAC (?spelling) helicopters. One of the commentators made that comment during the race, but the weather was not that horrible, and besides, those pilots are certainly IFR, and the commentators, well, there commentators trying to build up the drama. F1 is extremely safety concious sport. I have only seen on instance of stupidity, and that was back when they held the first F1 race at Indy. It took well over 5 min. for the safety crew to reach Ralf Schummacher's mangled car. Tony George trying to save money on limiting track access points I guess.
