BEC
I think I have seen a post before about an adapter that screws down to a terminal strip and provides a binding post to connect to. Any one know where such a device can be found. Bob Crites
jwc
Bob, I think I know what you are asking. There are some outfits selling these on Ebay that I have considered using before. A lot of vintage MAC users buy these things. Go to Ebay and search: "mcintosh amplifier terminal" Make sure you "check" Search title and description jc
seti
I could only find them doing a completed auction search. http://cgi.ebay.com/Platinum-Terminal-Banana-connector-vintage-amp_W0QQitemZ310010409692QQihZ021QQcategoryZ32838QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem You may want to email the seller if that is what you were looking for. BEC
JC's search method in his post above works. Several of them on eBay. All except one seller is in Hong Kong. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360010446425 Bob

Bill H.
BEC, Those look very interesting. It is one of the Reasons I didn't like the HK 730 series receiver. But, how do you connect them? Just use the U shape under the screw and then plug in your banana plug.....or what.

BEC
Bill, This picture shows it better. You can either use a bare wire or a banana plug. Bob
SilverSport
I have used them since the thread and they work fine...my earlier reported problems were operator error...of course! Bill
Daddy Dee
I've used some of those, or quite similar. What I was using was not especially good metal. It worked ok, but was brittle enough that I broke one moving it under the head of a screw. Didn't think I'd torqued it that much, but gentle handling would be in order for the little prongie things. jamesV
Would they fit the Heritage line and up to what gage of wire? Looking for something other then bare wire at the Heresy and Cornwall connection. James
SilverSport
I have used them with bare wire and bannana clips...I use 14GA...it may take larger but I have not tried...I use them on the back panel of my EICO HF81 and on the Heresys... billybob
14 gauge...cool1 The second pic looks quality. Use some for my terminal strip on old receiver(s)! Should have clearance!
Dflip
I found something similar at Active Surplus, Queen St., Toronto, and have used them with my MC-30's for the past three years. Active Surplus has some new stuff and lots of used and surplus parts. It is usually a little hit and miss, but always worth the 30 minute visit before I go down to watch a Blue Jay or Argonaut game. They work quite well. For the back of my Cornwalls, I drilled two holes into the back and added a 5-way binding posts at the bottom. It worked quite well and I didn't have to worry about heavy speaker wire running up the back of the speaker. A little soldering for the connection behind the back cover and you have flexibility and a more solid looking connection. While I was at it, I also replaced the internal wiring with the same speaker wire I am currently using.

seti
I want to put spades on my speaker wire and was wondering what size fits those pesky terminals on the xover. Anyone have a source for some nice ones? I would actually like something like this but not sure what size to go with.
