His foot went into the crease in order to gain control of the puck, little known at the time but in the rule book nonetheless. I can't remember if the Stars played the wings that year though. Of course the cup was against the sabres. Belfour out-dueled roy and hasek that year. That's interesting. As I mentioned in my earlier post, I didn't pay too much attention to the ruling at the time other than to form the opinion that the league had been calling it one way all year and seemed to change it on that particular goal. Hey gang; what nail-biter of a game that was up until the late 2nd period when Lidstrom put the game's first biscuit in the basket from center ice! A 3-0 shut-out and the Predators are heading for the golf course. Great old-time hockey with lots of hits. I'm sure the team is heading out for a few "ginger ales" after that one! It was great to see the Wings get tested a bit in this series. I would much prefer that to them just (forgive the pun) skating through to the second round. Go Wings!!
