billybob
Somebody included Roy Buchanan, but needs much higher ranking. Ritchie Blackmore
oldbuckster
probably better to just list them without numbers .......... The first four are right, order is wrong ... how you number 1 to 4 is up to each person ... It's all Personal Opinion anyway .... no right or wrong choices ... all the Guitar Legends point to Jimi Hendrix , how can we argue with them ??? That ol' Jacksonbart will be rollin' on his carpet before this thread is done ........... [*-)]
J.4knee
Jeff Healy would rank a lot higher if it were me as would Randy Rhoads, but hey it is just subjective list, no biggee.
Don Richard
Does anyone who should be on the list but didn't make it come to mind? Gregg Wright. He does a set of Hendrix at his gigs that is astounding. Picking with his teeth, playing the guitar behind his back, note-for-note PERFECT. He has been on tour with Michael Jackson on the 'Thriller" tour, and lately he has been touring world-wide with his blues band. You must see this guy live to believe it. No studio tricks, he should be Top Ten rated.

InnerTuber
Mick Taylor over Billy Gibbons?? Riiiiiiiiiiiiight. Not in my book. Looks like a bias to the oldies. Which guitarist stands the best chance of being able to play what the other 199 can play? Wonder how the list would look if ranked by being able to play the music of the names below? Even the mighty Hendrix would slip a good ways, ya think? My thought is the top few would include - 1) John Petrucci - Dream Theater, Liquid Tension Experiment 2) Steve Vai - David Lee Roth, Whitesnake, Solo 3) Yngwie Malmsteen - Rising Force, Solo

JJkizak
Never like Hendrix when I was young, never liked him when I was middle aged, and I still don't like him now that I am old. Hendrix couldn't recognize a melody from a swimming elephant. And I am being nice. JJK
