Hi again, No, I did not die nor do I have a foot in the grave!

Hi all.

I know it has been a while, sorry about that. Heck it has
been a long time since I have even turned on my 2 ch rig, let alone the HT, at
least since Easter!!

Lots has gone on in the time while I was away. The
highlights are:

Refinanced the house, got a great rate, 4 7/8% fixed for 15

Bought a new to me truck (now I need to sell my old one)

Bought a new to me flat bed trailer to tow my Bobcat on
(this is also the reason for the new truck!)

Bailed out the sons tickets in exchange for his car (it had
to cost him something!)

Bought tires for new truck

Bought tires for sons car

Bought tires for motorcycle trailer

Had motorcycle brought back to life after 8 years of rest

Took vacation in Yosemite
(the reason for the resurrection of motorcycle and trailer)

Took two professional baking classes at local JC

Bought Hobart
industrial food mixer (20 qt, 4X the size of a Kitchen Aid)

Bought commercial convection oven

Bought commercial freezer (needs new thermostat but runs and
gets COLD)

Bought a pile of commercial baking pans, racks, molds etc

Son joined the Navy; he ships out to boot camp on Dec 16
2008

Had to have the house treated for an ant invasion and
everything is a total wreck but it makes a great opportunity to clean out a
bunch of junk that we have collected

Had older dog put down as she gave up on life, she was about
12 years old, old for her breed, Akita.

Been looking for a new dog to fill the hole made by old dogs
departure, have good candidate line up.

Teaching blacksmithing in my shop

Hosted a blacksmithing event for about 60 people at my
home/shop

Attended spring conference for my blacksmithing group

Became board member for my blacksmithing group

I am sure that there is more that I missed but you get the
idea!

It is nice to see all the old “faces” here and some new
ones.

Thanks to those who have posted to me on the other threads
that I have replied to, thanks again.

Cal, every one of those things by themselves sounds outstanding and the total combination is extraordinary!! I'm a fan of 15-yr. mortgages, congratulations on that, the board membership and leadership, and the rest to boot. Post-op must be agreeing with you!

Congratulations on the new career, too!!

Larry

I started at 366# and am now at 184, yes I weigh HALF what I did when I started a year and a half ago!

All that and you weigh half as much. You've definitely been busy. (I'm something of a new guy around here). Sounds like a lot of good things going on.

The pics are on Snapfish.com and I think they are playing games with the locations. The links worked when I posted them. I just now reworked the link, I guess time will tell as to how long they will work!

NO I did not bring any trinkets for anyone, except for those 6 inch long samples of MONSTER 16 gauge wire in the back of the garage, I guess you could have one of those but you would need to share with everyone!
