No one seems to understand. I've been waiting 3 years for my name came up to have my Marantz 2500 restored .. Gentleman in Montana, Tom at Vintage Electronics Restoration Service is going to work on it. About the best I get is "That;s nice."7 points

Living in northern Indiana, I am lucky enough to have access in my local grocery to quite a number of really, really good coffees that are roasted in Michigan. Here's a few worth mentioning if you ever see them on your shelves...Higher Grounds Coffee (Funky Mamacita and Typhoon Espresso), Kalamazoo Coffee Company (Dark Loretta), Truck Stop Organics (Big Rig Roast). Whole bean of course.6 points

Butt chugging won't make you throw up (it's never in your stomach) and goes directly into your blood stream. I can see it now. Instead of "Honey, could you bring me a beer?" it would be "Honey, can you hang me a bag?"5 points

Blizzard here. Three feet of snow in buffalo. The thruway is closed. God I love winter, or at least I would if I was in SanDiego.5 points

Baxter is sleeping through the night on his bed and that's a blessing in itself. He loves to play and wants to attack his rope tug first thing in the morning. We try not to disappoint. He's a lover dog of the first order and a happy soul. Thanks for asking!! Chuck5 points

Hey guys, seems like all is doing "OK".....yea it's cold here today and kinda windy. I'm good as long as that snow stays North for awhile. I've been trying to get a snow-blower on one of my tractors. I have a bunch of older Craftman GT6000 lawn tractors. If I find them on CL I will ****** them up.....good for parts. So ......eth2 ......keep the snow up North, till I get my blower ready. lol lol Well yesterday was full of surprises.......we were using the CRV since the van broke......my wife came back from the bank and told me the CRV was shaking. After some investigating I found the right front brake caliper locked-up. That front wheel was smoking. Oh well.... I've put this off long enough off to the shop I go.....it's late..... Check-in later :-)4 points

This is the greatest news I've read in a long time. I think an IV version would be appropriate since its that good for us. I'll see about bringing it to market. Maybe open a coffee bar with IV drip option - the "Chlorogenic Clense." I may be able to retire early! Hmmmmm...4 points

Hell, I had to go low carb and gluten free to lose weight. All I had to do is drink more coffee!! Now they tell me. Mornin' all ... it's warming up temporarily in Colorado and life is good. Baxter is settling in to his new digs and we think he's getting the idea that no one is going to send him away again. Will start some leash training later today if we get enough ice melted away. Check back in a while.4 points

Cool but sunny....I can deal with that. It's the dreary gray days that I can do without. Started a large pot of chili this morning. Using ground turkey Jake is frisky and wants to play. How was the night with Baxter? Cheers Gents4 points

You guys are hilarious. Anyone who has spoken to me, or knows me, hopefully knows I don't take this audio stuff all that seriously. It's a hobby. Thanks for scolding me in the e-mail Mark. It was my intent to offer the Khorns to forum members for $1500. The Craigslist "lowballers" were beating me up something fierce, so I decided to play their game and list them for what most Khorns get listed at. Then, a lowball offer wouldn't be a lowball offer. That was my logic, until I got reported to the Craigslist police. Things seem to be tough over here, close to Detroit. In 23 years of being in this hobby, I've never had a more "weird" attempted sale of a piece of audio gear. I listened to my wife and decided to keep the Khorns. They sound superb and they aren't worth "giving away".4 points

I seriously doubt you're going to get most heritage owners to pick the 7s. I also doubt you'll get most 7 owners to pick a big square box from another era. So.....that said they both sound great and its just a personal preference of subtle sonics and subjective looks. Also note I say most. To answer the? 7s with a sub give most any Klipsch stiff competition.4 points

Not that you needed a reason to drink coffee but here is a few good reasons. https://www.yahoo.com/health/potential-super-antioxidant-in-coffee-may-protect-102882566142.html Part of the story................................ Past research has shown coffee is packed with antioxidants and their subsequent benefits, potentially preventing conditions like cardiovascular disease, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. Now, a new study suggests a chemical compound found in coffee might protect against a host of obesity-related diseases, as well. So, what’s this buzzy nutrient in your cup of joe? It’s a potent antioxidant called chlorogenic acid (CGA), which scientists focused on in a new study published in Pharmaceutical Research. For 15 weeks, the researchers fed mice a high-fat diet while also injecting them with a chlorogenic acid solution twice a week. Not only did the CGA prevent the mice from gaining weight during the test period, but the effects against obesity were also promising.4 points

Well wiring problems are the worst for shade tree mechanics, the problem could be anywhere. I did house wiring and electrical work offshore, but cars are not normal, they do things on car wiring which will drive any electrician crazy. Today there are so many sensors and electrical things on a car it's amazing, you can even get seats that blow smoke up you @zz as an option, ok not quite but close. At one time I loved to work on cars, can't stand it anymore, just happy when they get me where I want to go.4 points

It is, but coffee led to alcohol which somehow led to crevasses which led to Chuck bringing it all back around to cables a couple of post back. Do you really expect us to stay on topic anywhere on the forum ? That get's boring3 points

I wonder if there's such a thing as a "high end" (pun intended) cable enema? Would Klipsch sound even better??3 points

It looks like it, I like the coffee part and will skip the crevice part.3 points

That would be funny, I can see it now, hey give me a Margarita, skip the salt. Frozen daiquiris would be rough but not as rough as Bloody Mary's with hot sauce3 points

I have done some crazy stuff and it's hard to surprise my wife, but that would do it for sure, guaranteed. But to be serious, and that's really no fun........one of our distant relatives who it in his early 30's and his girlfriend got into some serious drugs a few years ago and that's how they were taking them, when he woke up the next day she had died, he is in prison now since they were together when it happened. I guess he got blamed for giving it to her ? Apparently it gets into your blood quicker and more than normal doing it like this ? We found out about it from his mother, I don't even know what they were doing, didn't even know he was doing anything, we only seen him a couple times a year at the most. People are crazy3 points

One of the new things is alcohol enemas. It's amazing what people do........... That is crazy, only benefit I could think of is no need to worry about taste, just buy the cheapest you can find.3 points

That's about it, now if I could hear it when it's done I would be much more excited. Just think it will be like new, and be ready for years of use, to me the older models just sound better.3 points

Rather than using a big bad mono block with more power than you really need you can give the speaker more of what it needs to sound better if you vertically bi amp with a pair of good stereo blocks. Solid top quality stereo blocks of about 100 - 150 watts per channel is all you really need. The woofer on channel A and the mid and hi on channel B of the same stereo block ditto for the other speaker. Bingo. You will have more quality sound than you know what to do with. Hope this is of interest. Best regards Moray James.2 points

They really do care and are loyal. Makes it even more appalling how some folks treat them. Our guy was abandoned somewhere around KC and a good Samaritan took him to an ASPCA shelter, which handed him over to the Springer rescue operation. Thank God for the kind people in this world.2 points

Well great for both of you, I would bet he is happier than you about the change. No doubt he's the happiest of all. Thanks guys. Will try to get a pic uploaded soon. BTW he does like rock 'n roll on the B-3 AND on the Cornwalls! My kinda pooch.2 points
