  1. Not everything went in vain. A few of us sacrificed for the greater good.
  2. Chris, you almost tell me what I wanted to know. I am using a wireless transmitter/receiver to drive my surround back Heresies in my 7.4 home theatre system. The wireless receiver output is only 42 Watts RMS into 4 Ohms or 21 Watts RMS into 8 Ohms per channel for two channels. My main receiver is outputing 80 Watts RMS into 8 Ohms per channel for 7 channels. 21 Watts may not be enough for the back sourrounds if I play at reference level but more importantly is that will it damage the Heresies in the long run?
  3. If 20 Watts is LOUD, then 100 Watts is IMPOSSIBLY LOUD! Why would Klipsch even make a speaker with that wattage rating?
  4. How does wattage rating apply in general to any type of speaker (i.e. two-way, three-way)? Lets say a Heresy maximum wattage rating is 100 Watts RMS. If I feed 150 Watts continuously, I could potententially damage the speaker. But before I can even damage any driver, wouldn't the crossover go first? What about the Heresy II that have protection circuit? What about under wattage? What if I feed 20 Watts long term into the Heresy (aka listen at very low volume level), would it damage any driver at all?
  5. Well, another worthless $300 piece of junk technology.
  6. But not forgotten, Schu. He's one heck of a guy! Thanks for sharing your story.
  7. I am running it on a 51" Panny Plasma (1080 HD). DVD -> Receiver -> Darbee -> TV
  8. My vision must be incredibly poor as I can see no noticeable different between regular and Darbee viewing of any DVD movie even at 120%. I have more than perfect vision (20/10). How would I connect my cable box to the Darbee since it has no HDMI connection but only RG-6?
  9. How can you be with a company for so long when you're so young? You joined exactly on my hire date.
  10. I take that back if I were you, Bill!
  11. Yes, I'd snicked into my own house and stripped to my underwear while sitting in a chair in my living room and channel surfing with my TV remote control and baking chicken pot pie in my kitchen.
  12. How's that possible with 12 million posts?
  13. First of all, disable quick boot mode in the bios and boot. That should perform a full RAM test. If this pass, then your memory is okay. Next, make a bootable CD linux and boot on your optical drive. If boot fail, then buy a new laptop. Don't bother fixing it.
  14. It may cost anywhere from $100 to $500 in which you're better off buying a new one.
  15. The folks at Intel Corporation are extremely proud!
  16. Is it really necessary to have an acoustically perfect environment in which to judge the sound of an amp costing $500? I bet they can't tell the difference in a double blind test.
  17. When seeking advice on audio, who would YOU choose? arrto or these guys? The answer is simple: arrto!
  18. For $150 (brand new), the Synergy Sub10 is amazing in my 5.1 Heresies system. Other than the Sub10, I have never listen to any speaker in the Synergy line.
  19. I used to smoke 2 and a half packs a day for 15 years. It has been almost 20 years and I have never touch another cigarette. There is nothing that will help you quit but your will. You should really come here more often to hassle me. Anyway, I am glad that everything is over for you.
