  2. Is farting in a crowd the olfactory equivilant of yelling fire in a crowded theatre? Not sure what this has to do with the topic at hand but this wont be the first or last time it happens.
  3. Miner, you look great with the cape flapping in the breeze. To say nothing of the trunk/tight outfit.
  4. Can it really be That bad, Miner?!i Travelled there 2-3 times a year for a few years and yeah wouldn't care to live there but your stories are very dark. Or is it just particular areas of SoCal that have this effect, like any other big city?
  5. That's the attitude to take fellas, keep pestering the Bonehead with courtroom type questions. He will surely want to contribute here more often. What is the purpose of all this anyway?
  6. Well, if this is like most institutions the inmates are in charge!
  7. Lexus / ho-hum Alfa / panache And what is this hockey thing you speak of ?
  8. ^^^^^ pretty much what you said. I understand this and other forums are generally for fun and good times but for the life of me what does someone gain by trying to show up or prove wrong one of Klipschs' lead engineers and understudy of PWK. This ain't no f'in inquisition. Yeah, come to the April get together and attempt to prove Mr. Bonehead wrong in person. I'm thinkin' 'round these parts hoping to 'dis the Bonehead only makes you look foolish. And you gain ------?

    What I Got Today!

^^^^^ Thats pretty funny. Or picking up a habit - a bad one !
  11. She enjoys them but then again she has said that for all that proceded - CW's, Belles, Forte, LS and KHorns. When most gear was in the living area she listened a lot more now that are downstairs not so much She leaves me to my own devices and me hers. She enjoys crafts, watching her TV shows. Oh and cars, she likes cars, NEW ones, has her eye on a new Merc. At this point what can I say - sure dear, what color ?!?!
  12. ^^^^^ Thanks for the links to your Jube observations. Well written and would seem to cover the "shock and awe" most experience on initial sittings. At this point I hesitate to offer or expund any more or, any less for that matter. Your words are well chosen and to the point and wisely I believe, do not point to the advantages over any other in the hierarchy from the Heritage line I.e. Klipschorn in particular. But after 50 continuous years of design and technological improvements it would seem logical that PWK uncovered advantages of the Jube bass bin coupled with Mr. Bonehead's 402 design that the complete Jubilee package would run to the head of the pack. They seem to do most everything well, quite well, with various amplifier types, at high and low volume settings. Considering their commercial and theatre design background their "live" sound should be no surprise. Not just live but a smooth, balanced live; played at very moderate levels I think it safe to say they are almost creamy as they envelope the room from front soundstage, sides to the back row. I'm blessed with a room with perfect corners, 22 feet bin to bin, sitting back 21 feet with another 10 feet behind, rafter open 8 foot ceilings with enough enclosed duct work for good diffraction. In no way do the Jubes impose themselves in this room but I think add a very nice compliment. This is not our main living space so looks, WAF, mean nothing rather my wife only adds "looks like we need to sell some stuff" and yes we will. And she adds Happy Birthday as mineis actually tomorrow. She rolls her her eyes at times but understands. As my forum buddy Zim told me, you may as well buy them and be done looking. A wise man he is. If you like Klipsh, and horns, and have the space I do believe I have reached the top ofmthe mountain. I thought that with KHorns these made me a believer. Hearing them at Hope a couple times I often wondered what the in home experience might be - well worth the chance. Although this paragraph may get buried I do want to shout out to the seller Kevin S. for his help with this transaction. Went above and beyond although he should have pressed me harder to buy them during my waffling for a couple day. Original boxes were well packed, clean, good condition, well marked for shipping. Drove them to the freight company, two pickups I understand, some 50 miles. Arrived in perfect condition in their new home. Kevin is an avid buff who I'm sure isn't finished yet but rest assured when he pops up here again, buy with confidence. Thanks Kevin.
  13. A good ketchup bath will soften them nicely. Kind of a BSM 2 for 1 -
  14. Thanks for the verbal meaning of actually listening to Jubes and not just using graphs and statistics. I for one appreciate all you offer here but quickly get lost in the computer generated, analytic mumbo-jumbo. Much of what you say hits home with this new, three day Jube owner. I plan to offer my experience which follows closely with these observations.
  15. I've had one of these many moons ago. Someone needs to buy this, $525 is a steal for this piece. If I didn't have so many amps and ready to sell a couple myself I'd buy one again.
  16. Couple pics on the lounge - truck full of Klipsch. Or garage sale Jubilees for sale, that's them. No comment on LS vs. Jubilee. Owned LS twice and love'em.
  17. I will never down play the input from long time Jubilee owners to this 3-day Newbie. Kinda like me and turntables - just don't care to get involved with the cost and added complexity. I'm two channel only; high end CD, most generally tubes and something to produce the sound. KISS sums me up I suppose. And I wouldn't be surprised if someone says I am missing out on the last 10% of Jubilee performance using passive vs. active. And I wouldn't be surprised if they are right. But I must assume that Bob Crites optimized the Faital driver into the system for maximum playback? Now after a few days of listening, running through several amps I plan to give my opinion soon. And it will only be what my ears tell me, not graphs, analytics, flow charts, dispersion charts etc. That is all away above my pay scale. As I said - KISS. And yes I epitomize the last two letters - simple, stupid.
  18. Dont hesitate - buy 'em. Active isn't a prerequisite with Jubes but it seems the more common configuration. Just acquired mine with Bob Crites passives and certainly have zero regrets. Now have I compared them, in my room, my amps, to active - no. And For a good while I don't intend to - pretty awe inspiring as is. Does "shock and awe" sound familiar?!
  19. Seems most dental work is "dirty" business, infection, germ wise. Now after my hip replacements before I have any dental work, and lucky for me that is very minimal, even twice a year cleanings, I must take four 500mlg. horse pill anti-biotics so infection will not invade the "new" parts. For life -- A small price to pay to walk normally and without pain.
  20. Do you complete the party with big helpings of haggis?? If that don't bring someone around, nothing will.
  21. - 27 Should be on another planet.
  22. Whoa - what planet were these shots taken? This looks like one those "where men are men" regions?! Salute -
