  1. the jpg you posted is having issues.....sent you a pm
  2. I have a few questions regarding tube placement, etc. Mostly technical.. Thanks. Please PM me.
  3. Would you please post some photos of these Belle's? Haven't seen teak before. Also photos of the backs and crossovers.
  4. That had to be quite a dramatic departure from your normal Ford Windstar Minivan ride.....I'm very sorry. You mean the one I borrowed from you? I thought it was a toaster with wheels and I had to kick the hamsters out. Dammit! I've been looking for those hamsters…I had them microchipped, hopefully no one put them in a microwave
  5. That had to be quite a dramatic departure from your normal Ford Windstar Minivan ride.....I'm very sorry.
  6. Honestly, I was going to say that too, but thought I'd wait to see what else came in....The costs involved in (proper) packing, (proper) loading, (proper) transport for speakers that size, not to mention whatever issues there are in getting them across the border, not to mention the risk involved is, as you know, significant....Why not take 3 or 4 days off, take a nice drive, stay in a hotel, etc, etc. Surely with gas prices lower that they have been in a while, the comparative dollars has got to be lower, even considering your expenses. With two people driving, you can easily knock out 750-1000 miles in a day. My advice is patience.....look for the right ones, at the right price, and pounce. Hope you get em!
  7. All great info from you guys. Good stuff for a new forum member.
  8. It's too bad you will not ship, I would purchase the KG 1.5's.
  9. I call it suspension by self-inflicted idiocy. Yep, and that's a very familiar tune to a Raiders fan....
  10. Welcome to the forum Leon, sorry it had to be this way though... Before you go changing diaphragms, make sure that your speakers are phased correctly, all connections are secure, all settings on your amps and preamps are correct, etc, etc. Then, as Bossman states, get a multimeter and measure the drivers. Let us know what you find out.
  11. So you didn't actually see the items? How does someone bid $2200 on something in a box? That's odd...
  12. My understanding is that post 1983, nothing was stamped in the cabinet
  13. Agree with oldred....Seriously, if you need to push it to $2K or more..... http://www.positive-feedback.com/Issue33/tx1000.htm Would be very interested to find out from you the final results on these items.
  14. Given all new in the box, never used.... The turntable originally sold for approx. $8000 at retail. (and, get ready.....it weighs 40kg....) The Dragon cassette deck, at least $750 The Akai deck, $1000 PA-5 amp - $350-700 Selling the Yamaha's also? B2X - $750-1000 C2X - $750-1500
  15. Please let me know if you have Cornwall B networks you are not using and would like to sell. Please PM me. thanks.
  16. The Nakamichi turntable is a rare beast....Would appreciate some prices and photos.
  17. Obviously Arrow, you can't back up your WELL DOCUMENTED statement. I am certainly not blindly mislead by experience, as you are by a lack of experience. And Tom, it has already been stated that there is a SALE Pending. Billy, you drove a whole lot further to meet up with me!!
  18. Sure hope this sale went well. Sure would like to see that wonderful documentation, especially for a pair of Belle's that sold for $200.00, or $4K for that matter.
  19. I have 3 Sylvania Gold Brand 5654 tubes that are NOS, unfortunately though no boxes. All 3 test at NOS level on my Hickok tube tester, as well as my Knight tube tester. Labels are gorgeous. Gold plated pins of course. $50 for the trio, plus shipping. Please PM me. Thanks.
  20. Hmm….Over the past 12 months, Belles have been well noted as selling for anywhere between $200 and $4000 per pair. Granted the extremes of that range are quite rare, but without better details of the cabinet condition, forum valuations are just a guess. We've been given 1 picture of 1 cabinet & that top shows issues. $1000 may be spot on, unless a nw indiana buyer is interested, then the "current market value" may drop significantly. Good luck to any who pursue these. Personally, I'd like - another pair! I have no idea what you are talking about, and I suspect neither do you. I have no need for any additional speakers, amps, preamps, tubes, turntables, etc, so I do not join the feeding frenzy when a "great deal" is posted. I do however have several decades of experience with Klipsch Heritage speakers, as well as a wide variety of other audio equipment, so although I think you are probably guessing, I am not. Thank you.
  21. Well, that's just about $1000.00 less than current market value, don't you think? Wouldn't know if that mattered to the seller or not....
