I have been tracking empires and lencos for some time, but just have not pulled the trigger for fear of buying the wrong thing... I have a couple hundred 78's that have been in the family since new... I have never heard them.

how would hooking up your computer to your system be proper. you would be bypassing the speakers, which is the point. on my computer speakers, all systems so far sound pretty darn good even though mono mic's were used.

Props to both of you... good stuff. Okay... for you QH, a Little ST! Star Trek Funny, even though this is hand held and an ipod, the sound the Amp makes at volume control #26 is really nice. and the amp starts at #30(start up quite setting) and goes all the way down to #0(loudest)

this null idea... will rotating the sub in position help with that? I have not seen many sub placement pictures where the sub is firing perpendicular to listening position. Like I has said, my system is tuned from my LP... I just notice that off axis/perpendicular there is MUCH MORE db's. I mean even if I did rotate the sub, all I wold be doing is lowering the gain on it.

dead spots... I do experience those. you you noticed how the max saturation is like 90º off axis? is this the same for most sub woofers? if I stand on the side of my sub, it's nearly twice as loud as if I sit in front of her.
