If you can find a RC7 get it. There is no comparison between it and the other center channels you have listed.

Coytee, I know what you mean by the grocery rush and school closings. It is the same way just north of ya in Lexington. I have to laugh because I remember growing up in Iowa when we would routinely get 8-12 inches during a SNOWFALL and school would be DELAYED 2 hrs at the most. It had to be a major ordeal for them to cancel school back home. We got about 1 inch here this morning but I bet school would have been cancelled, especially since it was the first snow of the season.

Just curious what it is that you dont like about the Denon 2807? Is the Onkyo for a second system?

Does it include the infamous f'bombs assault from Christian Bale directed @ one of the set directors in the extras? I would pay to see that. If not, they should have included it. I'm sure it would have spiked sales.

I am with Youthman, I came from a Sony receiver and will never go back to Sony. If you have to go with the RC52, then I would opt for the RF62 package.

DeanG is a forum member who modified the crossover network in the Rx7 models. I believe it is suppose to tame the harshness that some find with those models.

I am not sure if on your model if you have a independent 2 channel setting (Custom) on the Denon, but if you do, have you tried setting the mains to large and completely disable the sub? I notice a more even sound when I do this on my 3808. I also use Direct setting for 2 channel listening. I have not been a fan of using a sub with music. The crossover setting is not a brick wall you may still get some information below the setpoint.

Heres maybe some good news if anybody has one of the Panasonic and have been experiencing freezes. Monster can fool the middle-aged home owner just as easy as the geeky kid at best buy[] Like somebody said earlier, sue em, make them honor that worthless lifetime guarentee. Just be prepared to provide EPA samplings of the house and the contractors license, and any other obscure you could think of to proove it was installed correctly.[]

I have always liked the Denons when it came to receivers. I assume you are referring to the 4310 the 3808 replacement? You may also want to look into separate offerings from Emotiva, I hear they currently have killer prices. They are getting a lot of ear play recently. Oh and Welcome.

[Y]. If you are like 99% of the people on this forum, the "what-ifs" will set in and you will eventually want the RC62 to match the mains. If you mainly watch movies, do not skimp on the center channel. IMO it is THE most important in a surround system. The cost difference is minimal in the long run. Good luck.

Welcome. Yes you have very nice speakers. What brands/subs do you carry at the audio store you work? Many folks like the offerings from SVS which is internet. If money was not an issue, I would opt for separate amplification. Again what brands do you sell for this as well?

Hi congrats on the fine purchase. I would start at 80 for the RC64. Are you using a sub or are you still building your system? What receiver are you using?

Hey fellow Klipschsters, just want to put the word out regarding this player and freeze issues. It is similar to what is being reported with the Panasonic players, I purchased one a few weeks ago and have experienced several of the freezes myself. I have called Denon along with a few of the regulars at avsforums and Denon's response has been the usual "have not of the problem before", even though I had called in to support 2 days prior, which to me is jargon for too bad you bought our crappy product- dont expect us to support it. If anybody had been interested in this unit, I suggest to tread lightly and look elsewhere until Denon decides to support their product. I am going to try to return it, but fear I will not be able to since it is 3 days past the return policy.
