  1. A lot of times for those high-end dryers to work properly (reduced drying time, cost saving jazz) you need to have the matching high speed washer to be sure and get the majority of the moisture out of the clothes during the spin cycles. They generally dont get as "hot" as lower priced dryers because of this fact.
  2. It is difficult to get into seperates with a 1500 budget, even with the great Emotiva Amp deal, with the features that your looking for in a preamp. I see your running the R82 system as speakers, and looks like the Yamaha is a 6.1, 95W/channel receiver. Being that it is only 6.1, I will guess it is at least 5 years old. I would also make sure and not use any of the DSP when listening to music. If it wasnt recorded in 5.1, I would only listen in a 2 channel straight or direct mode, whatever Yamaha terms this feature. It is possible that the Yamaha is running out of gas and clipping if you are trying to get serious volume from the RF82. I would still rule out source and environment. Try this, stand in middle of listening area and clap your hands, do you hear reverb? If yes, you probably have a "bright" room and will effect listening.
  3. What is your source ie. Ipod, tuner, or CD? Many times it is a source issue or room acoustics. How loud are you listening? You may actually be clipping the signal if overdriving. What Klipsch speakers do you have? If you dont mind last year models, take a look at Denon's 3808CI, they can be had for around 1K or less, since the newer 3310 and 4310 were just released. For every replying post, you will probably get a different answer when it comes to receivers. I would first rule out the source as being the culprit of the brightness.
  4. Isnt there a dealer in Overland Park anymore? I was just there like 6 months ago. They were located either on 135th or 151st just east of Metcalf. They were super nice and liked to talk about their gear. Hard to find in this day and age. EDIT: Yeah they are called Accent Sound, here is their website http://www.accentsound.com/frame.htm It was there that I demoed a pair of FoCal Chorus 826's. I liked them so much I am thinking of going with them.[]
  5. Maybe it's because it is so early in the morning my eyes haven't adjusted or the "busy-ness" in the t-shirt, but it took awhile for me to make out the Bullsh*t logo.
  6. +1. Underboss here. Although it is getting a bit irritating going back and forth between levels to get the required items to complete jobs (falsified documents, untraceable cell phones and such)
  7. I thought the XD came with a mag loader. Is that just the XDm model that comes with the loader?
  8. Thump, that is the gun I am still looking at. I would like to get a .40 though. Looks nice. Enjoy.
  9. Yeah forget trying to file a complaint. That whole form and process is an utter joke. I fly occasionally for work and when I do I have to check three tool cases (forget the fact that it costs more for my luggage than my actual seat). On one of the cases, the latches always open during flight and my test equipment is essentially loose "all over" the plane. I was sure it was due to the fact that the TSA was not latching the case back up after their initial inspection. I once had a heated arguement with a less dimwitted TSA (supervisor) who suggested I buy a TSA approved lock to put on my case. NEVER NEVER fall for that trick, I did. Apparently it is too much for the TSA to make sure and put the lock back on your luggage after they inspect it. That was the whole idea behind the TSA approved locks. It is a padlock where you can set the code, but on the bottom it is also keyed for the TSA, so they dont have to cut off the lock. Well I bought 2 of these @ $21.00 and thought I was good to go. That was until my next flight, and my destination. Here I am waiting for my "case" to come across the bag conveyor, and I see my DVM, then my temp/pressure meter along with all my hand tools, INDIVIDUALLY. It was then that I found out that the complaint form/department is pretty much non-existant. The whole lot of em are USELESS. Thump, they did steal our freedom on that day, but unfortunately left us with another Govt entity that just doesnt give a @@@@.
  10. I know exactly what you mean; I got back home this afternoon from a 3 day camping trip and when I turned on the TV this afternoon I thought to myself how good it sounded. I think our "senses" do get dulled when we live with something for so long. Maybe that is a cure for the "upgrade-itis", just take a break from your system for about 2-3 days and when you get back it will sound new and improved.
  11. My favorite from his show, 'Pitchmen', had to be the "pitch" for the "Flatulance Eradicator".
  12. I agree with Jim's statements above. Another thing has to do with the type of music/bass you are wanting to produce. IMO, I have found that Klipsch does not do so well on Rap/Hip Hop type bass without the aid of a sub. I feel they are more suited to a rock/classic rock style of bass.
  13. Just out of curiosity, how big is the room?
  14. Wow, talk about size comparison, forget the bose compared to the RC64. Look at the RC64 compared to the hood of your CAR. [] Sorry for your luck with the Bose being left behind, a friend of mine bought a house and the owner left him a complete Klipsch RF3 system.
  15. If it is a good aquintance, invite him over for some Milk and pizza and the two of you learn your system together if you are really intimidated. As the others have said, it is really pretty simple. Dont let it get the best of ya. Nowadays almost every receiver on the market has a auto setup, where you let the receiver do the initial adjustments and you just tweak afterwards.
  16. Seems to me you already have your mind made up, which is fine since it is YOUR money. You havent even gotten the 83's and already are expecting you need something bigger and badder all around. If you are wanting thump or pound in your chest, I would look at something alot more capable than a RW12D. I have this sub and feel it is more than sufficient for my listening patterns. You keep mentioning key phrases like thump, ear bleeding levels, I think you need to concentrate on one area. I mean you are all over the place, bi-wire this, bi-amp that. At some point you will actually have to listen to your gear for longer than 2 hours and get a nice reference, otherwise you will never know what all these upgrades-or money- did for you. Good luck and hope you find what your looking for.

Behind Enemy Lines- DTS version We Were Soldiers- DTS. Based on the real deal.
  18. How about dispatching it down to Lexington for a showing at kelA HI-FI? It's a small boutique, with at least one happy customer.[] We would like to get into the Palladium line.[]
  19. This is the 3rd, should be done for awhile. (Fawcett, McMahon). RIP
  20. Thats nice, as a side note the bridge is out ahead.[]
  21. That's sad to hear. Although I guess to be expected since the first one did as well as it did. Hollywood generally gets lazy whenever they have a succesfull movie the first time around, knowing that people will go see the sequel based on the original. I dont think Hollywood really cares about content and ratings because they know ALOT of the parents dont care either and will take the kids to see almost anything these days. I went to see, 'Hangover' this last weekend and sitting in front of us was a family of four with the children MAYBE 10 and 12 years old, and that is probably a conservative guess. The parents didnt even flinch, not even the end of the movie during the "pictures" of male frontal nudity. EWW.
  22. You may still be able to get them from Klipsch. Call them and ask. 800-klipsch
  23. Have you heard of avsforum.com? They have some pretty good forums for most consumer electronics. A little biased toward some brands. Since your 4310 is such a new model there isnt much out there as far as user information. Here is a thread for the 4310. http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1153097 I dont find anything of much use in it since the receiver is so new, but maybe you will find something. I know Denon had a BIG issue on newer units trying to download a firmware upgrade upon install, but the Denon server was crashed which left a lot of units in the "flash" phase and inoperable. I believe this has been resolved, but it is all I have heard. The Denons are not that difficult to setup in my opinion. Connect the speakers and run the Audyssey setup. If you have a picture or layout of the room post it and I'm sure somebody will chime in with placement options if you're not sure.
  24. Ok here is a scene because I really didnt care for the movie itself. Opening scene from Polar Express, turn it up for this one.
