...and hopefully you have seen the pics of the actual speaker...I have seen kg4s listed when the speakers were KG4.2s, KG4.5s, etc...good luck with your choice...

could that explain why it sounded a bit bass shy in 4 ohm compared to the 8 ohm tap???...the 16 ohm even sounded a touch better but I wouldn't discount the placebo effect on me
Thanks,
Bill
...and an EICO HF-81???...I've usually defaulted to the 8 ohm setting but wondering if it should be set up differently...
I tried the 16 ohm setting and liked it...
currently (no pun intended) I am trying the 4 ohm tap...

I may have to do this to mine as well...not looking forward to it...all the YouTube vids say it is a somewhat simple but tedious project...as long as you get the tools...some companies make the kit as a package for sale along with buying the new drive or whatever you are replacing.

One of the longest made and original in the kg series along with kg2s, the Kg4s are enjoyed by many and that price seems in the sweet spot...
no rear facing woofer, those are on the front and there are two of them...the back has a passive radiator to extend the bass response...enjoy and good luck
Bill
thanks again Harleywood...mine has already arrived, assembled and after going through the rats nest of wires, it's set up mostly where I want it to be and my stuff is finally up off the floor...

I have 3 Heresy ls across the front of my HT and the crossovers were updated by Bob Crites as well as having his CT125 tweeters using an Outlaw Audio (Hsu) sub...I think it sounds very nice...I'd bet the Hllls will sound even better...
I also have Quartets or Chorus lls to choose but for that HT I choose Heresys...
Bill
...forgot to add...now I'm home and listening to Pink Floyd's A Momentary Lapse of Reason on my NOSValves EICO HF-81, Heart tube CD player through Chorus lls with Crites updated crossovers and titanium diaphragms...nice
Bill
I hear you...Today I gifted to a buddy a digital Panasonic SA-XR25 digital HT receiver to use with his Super Cornwalls (made by a member on this Forum with a larger box for even more bass) since his Outlaw 1050 lost a channel...
Hooked up another digital Panasonic SA-XR55 for a second system at the GF's to go with her KSB 1.1s...
And I get to make both of them happy and get some of the stuff that wasn't getting any airtime at my house so it was a win-win-WIN
Bill
listening to the Panasonic SA-XR57 right now playing diana krall Live in Paris DVD through the Quartets and the KLF-C7 in DTS 5.1 (really 3.0)...plenty of bass and no thinness here
