  1. BBQ and concert is good so long as the band is playing through Jubilee's. []
  2. Well, here's what I would do: Sell your current speakers, or move them to another room and, 1 - Buy K-Horns for the front L & R (where you show corner shelves now) 2 - Buy a Belle for center channel (screen would have to mount high enough to clear the Belle, but with 14' ceiling, you should have enough) 3 - Build custom cabinets using Heresy components to mount high on the back angled walls (or side walls and/or back walls) like the KPT-250 from the Cinema line for surround. http://www.klipsch.com/product/product.aspx?cid=506 This would be a KILLER system for both theater, but 2 channel (with center) listening. If the bass is not enough with the K's, you could add a sub later.
  3. Just the pair from the woofer bin to the crossover. Two screws and you're done.
  4. The bass bin, standing upright, is 38.5" tall. Laying on its face, toe-kick to tail board, is about 24".
  5. Richieb, Two of us plan to ride our Ventures from Wichita. It would be fun to meet somewhere and ride together. Anyone else riding cycles to Hope??
  6. I agree that prices have gotten a little strong of late. I bought a pair of mint walnut Quartets on ebay about 6 months ago for $375 buy-it-now. Have you considered a nice pair of Heresy's for your dad? I prefer the mid/highs (openess) of the Heresy to the Quartet. The Q certainly has better low end extension.
  7. Here's a pair on ebay that are located in Texas: http://cgi.ebay.com/Klipsch-Quartet_W0QQitemZ5861586300QQcategoryZ61378QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  8. Big D, those are gorgeous!! What did you use for woofer drivers? crossovers? etc.?
  9. How does the low bass of the Jubilee compare to the K-Horn? As best I can tell, the K-Horn bass horn is longer. Doesn't this translate (all other things being equal) into deeper? I seem to remember one of Paul's goals for the Jubilee would be that it would go deeper than the K. If that's correct, how is that accomplished? How does the Cinema 535 Jubilee bass version compare to the test mule with two twelves and a passive?
  10. Those are gorgeous, Al. Any chance we could get you/him to build a monster 402 type horn for a Jubilee??
  11. Those are the drawings, seti. There was a long thread that followed . . . It would be great to have your zip file!! Thanks!!
  12. Thanks, seti, those are great, but there's a thread out there somewhere with a set of dimensional plans and a picture someone did of a horn layout on plywood to test for angles. I found it the other night and I'll be darned if I can find it again.
  13. Can someone point me to the thread on the plans for the reverse-engineered Jubilee plans? Numerous attempts to search have proven fruitless. Thanks!!
  14. Welcome home, brother! You have been missed!!!
  15. Oh, boy, I love the first one. That would be a great poster. "THE Legend in Sound"

    Hi marems, You have pm.
  17. Anyone interested in a pair of empty Cornwall cabinets? My son lives in Portland and has a pair of raw birch cabinets without drivers, crossovers, or grills. He got them from a pawn shop. He says the cabs have a few scratches but could be sanded and finished or veneered. I haven't seen them and can't vouch for their condition. These could be a good restoration project for someone willing to pick up the cabinets in Portland. Bob Crites, I'm sure, would be happy to supply drivers and crossovers for a project. Ebay could be another source. No pics available yet. He'll be back in Portland next week. Make offer if interested.
  18. Neil, I'm unclear as to whether: the tweeters are blown and need to have the diaphragms installed, or the tweeters are working fine now plus they comes with an extra set of diaphragms. Thanks,
  19. Here are some more: http://www.itw-fastex.com/rivets.html
