  1. Maybe in a couple years I'll sell the Onkyo to help pay for that beast. [O]
  2. If you need any setup help let us know. There's a ton of options that you want to make sure to get set correctly.
  3. Now if there's only a way to hide my huge speakers...
  4. There's been incredible deals on Khorns by me but nowhere in my house would work with them. I hope you enjoy yours!
  5. I guess I'd agree, although I'd modify your statement slightly..."for good sound bass use only one sub...for GREAT sounding bass use two." It doesn't take that much work to make dual subs work together and the results are well worth it.

  7. Warmer weather, not quite convertible weather yet. I drive the Mustang April 1st - October 31st.
  8. It might have always been there, but interconnects always run the risk of introducing unwanted noise. HDMI cables don't really suffer from the same problem because they are carrying a digital signal.
  9. I thoroughly enjoyed the HK3480 integrated amp that I had for a while. If you think 17lbs is heavy for a two channel amp, try 40+ for my Samson pro amp! I know there are much, much heavier amps out there but this is the heaviest sucker I've ever seen that's strictly an amp.
  10. The current line of Reference speakers is the 4th generation of Reference, and Reference speakers have been around loooong before 2006. I don't foresee Klipsch discontinuing the Reference line in the near future, if anything they might redesign them slightly for generation 5.
  11. Might as well just upgrade to Heritage and be done with it. []
  12. I can only vouch for SVS - the Ultra woofers they use are incredible. Perfect for both music and movies.
  13. Actually the C2 from the Synergy line is the match for your F2s.
  14. It would depend on what your other front speakers are. It isn't quite as important to match your surround speakers to your fronts, but the front three are the most critical. You could always get the RC-62 and upgrade your front mains in the future to be a better match to it.
  15. Actually for the best blend of sound its recommended to use all identical speakers whereever practical. Even though in-ceiling speakers are a huge compromise for ideal sound, using all 5 of the same speakers will sound the best.
  16. BK stands for Belle Klipsch I believe. http://www.klipsch.com/products/discontinued/details/belle-klipsch.aspx Generally Belles are worth $1000-2000 depending on age/wood color/condition/etc. http://www.klipsch.com/images/474/400x400.aspx
  17. Yes, you will need to plug it in and you are correct in how it is hooked up. It looks like it does have two "Main Out" pre-amp outputs so you could hook those to your sub's low-level input if you wanted to.
  18. Craigslist is how I bought my 9/10 Forte IIs for $275. I helped my best friend buy a pair of 9/10 KLF-30s for $500 and RP-3s for $300 also.
  19. All I did was use a sheetrock screw (I think that's what it is) in the rear bracket. They're not too heavy and I've had no problems.
  20. I don't see why it wouldn't work to set your TV on top of it. Obviously put some kind of material between the two so that the TV doesn't scratch the RC-64 but your TV can't weigh that much to come close to hurting the 64. Raising it higher than your current center speaker will put it at closer to the same height as the tweeters on your side speakers, which is a good thing. Then you can put your PS3 where your old center speaker is.
  21. I wouldn't go so far as to say "only"... http://hometheater.about.com/od/televisionbasics/qt/1080ivs1080p.htm
  22. If your DVD player has an option to output Bitstream or PCM, set it to whatever the opposite of what its set now and see if that helps.
  23. Well, my wife and I are planning a trip to Yellowstone this summer via Rapid City. If you end up not wanting the pair I'd gladly pay you what you paid for them to use them as my side surrounds. []
  24. Does your TV have a stand where you could set it on top of the Forte? It would definitely support the weight of the TV and then you won't have to wall-mount it. I haven't heard boo from the guy who bought my Quartet, I'm assuming he got it in good condition but he's never answered any of my emails to him about it. Even though a Quartet and Forte II share drivers and have similar components I think you'll like having three exact matching speakers across the front much better. If I would have had an ideal setup for my Quartet I would have kept it but it was just so huge of a speaker that it would have meant getting a different TV or a totally different TV stand and I didn't want to do that just to accomodate a center speaker. I'm actually enjoying my 4.1 (4.2?) setup better than I did with the Quartet. The Quartet was so huge sitting in front of my TV that with it gone my TV looks a lot bigger now. []
  25. My advice would be to use the money from the 2805 and buy a PS3 for Blu-Ray. [Y]
