  1. yep, but I wasn't gonna say that to take away from Hope. If the OP wants to find KHorns in stock and ready to ship he will let us know.
  2. I am sure that the factory is like our company in these times. One person complains of illness and they report who they came in close contact with (xx feet for us) for more than XX time and all go home. I spent 24 days due to people reporting close contact and I never tested positive. We are down 12 out of 74 people and that takes a hit on production. Yes, would be nice to have continual updates on production but it may be that those folks are out. Never fear, the will come and you will enjoy. Meanwhile sit in the listening position with a beverage of choice, close eyes, imagine, run over and fix that stay wire you saw, back to couch. Rinse and repeat.
  3. Thanks for the input; there are several rooms that incorporate different ceiling 'features'. I am told this room is 12x15 but the photo must be deceiving. Still wanting to know what that upper garage space looks like. Possibly bad as no mention of it in the listing....
  4. Found this house but have yet to visit; waiting on appointment. How would the ceiling treatment affect the sound? I was told that the place above the garage is one large bedroom and a bath. I have no dimensions. here's a zill link https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/4217-River-Hill-Dr-Corpus-Christi-TX-78410/28862841_zpid/?
  5. I have 3 CW IIIs in walnut w/factory boxes in Corpus.

    Aircraft Jobs PSA

Northrop is the prime contractor and covers the Jacksonville, Fl site and Kay is a sub-contractor that covers the Corpus site. Corpus is union and Jax is not.
  7. Aircraft jobs Kay and Associates are hiring P-3 maintenance personnel to support CBP P-3 aircraft in Corpus Christi, TX. APG mechanics (engines, hydraulics, flight control rigging, etc) and airframes capable of O, I and some D level repairs both require an A&P license. P-3 experience a major plus but C-130 and heavy turbo-prop considered. Electricians Avionics techs with radar experience (prefer APS-145 you E-2 folks) GSE Administration personnel with some background in HR P-3 QA with IA Etc, etc Look at the Kay Inc web site. Some positions have been tentatively filled BUT with the requirement to be able to obtain a DoD secret and a Homeland Security Background investigation (sorta equal to a T.S. without the poly) could eliminate current applicants so apply anyway. I am not the hiring manager but can give some insight as I have been on the program for 11 years.
  8. Or mayhaps they moved with the X; seems she is having house issues
  9. Yes, we are constantly changing our minds (with the guvment's help of course); extend out aircraft that are deployed, bring them home, hurrivac inland..sure slows down planned maintenance
  10. Shush, mine have been eerily absent of late.
  11. Realizing that purchase price is an individual idea based on funds, wants and needs but what would this typically sell for? I mean I could make a road trip from Texas and put them in storage until I decided to really P.O. the neighbors and think I would if a bid of one G could win but that's just me sitting and no thinking. My current goal is to sell current / buy house that would support those big 402 Jubs in the next 3-4 months
  12. Just received an email from the guvment's IT guy that the network is down. THANKS!

    Filing a UPS claim

Ah yes; USPS not UPS. McIntosh C-28 preamp purchased on the bay. I asked for factory boxes; seller is all no sweat, I am an expert. Wife calls and says that she had notice in mailbox that I had a package to pickup. Being nice (back then) she rushed down, inquired and had the USPS dude load it in her car's trunk. I was OH NO, did you inspect it? No, it's still in the trunk. Get home, look and immediately knew I was going to have problems. No factory boxes and the one used was crushed. Yo! Didn't you even look at the box? No, why? Ran down to post office with unopened box and asked for management. Opened it; yep, in pieces. USPS told me to fill out required forms and give them the preamp. Ok, what is the process? USPS makes a claim to the office somewhere in flyover land to see if it will be covered. Soooooo where will the item be, I asked. Oh, we throw it in a bonded DUMPSTER (inside a chain link fence) until we get approval / disapproval. so if disapproved when can I get my preamp back? NEVER, it will be disposed of! Seller eventually made good having audio classic send me the required parts. That was in a backazz town in GA. My current UPS driver knows me since he delivers to my work, is really careful with my stuff and if something looks amiss he tells me to refuse acceptance and let UPS / seller work it.
  16. Thanks guys. Chris, does a void between the speakers create issues; doors, hallway, fireplace? How about OPEN areas where the room is huge due to living / dining / kitchen combined? What effect with very high ceilings (18-20')? Would you consider a trip to Corpus once we get the house, speakers and other equipment purchased? I can do gas, room, meat and adult beverages as long as Carl doesn't barge in.
  17. I am putting the haunted house up for sale and am actively looking for a replacement. I want to have at least a pair of Jubilees if not 3 to combine into an HT. I currently have 3 Cornwall IIIs that might serve as surrounds along with a pair of SVS PB4000s. If lucky I would go with an HT in one room and a dedicated 2 channel room. I told the realtor that I miss my dedicated basement back in GA and she is asking about my room requirements. Jub dudes what do you have to say? Current amp is a 7 channel 200 wpc McIntosh but I don't limit myself to that for the HF. Too bad the VRDs, MC2000 and MC275s are gone
  18. A two mile run at 110* who is the worse for wear me or her? I get rum.
  19. permanently; time for a new house that will accomodate the stuff I want, where I want. I have searched $350-500k and haven't found anything. No time to build. Jubs x 3 Now back on track, enjoy the kiddos!
  20. Sounds like a trip thru Texas, no cell , no tunes. The 3 TB usb drive works...
