  1. Enclose the backs on them. Much easier and can be done with one sheet of ply
  2. Yes, thats the tedious process. I would pick 10 or 15 every couple of days maybe and then go ahead and put them in vinegar. It took me the majority of the summer to fill one bottle. And then for the second bottle I had to pick a lot of green chilis because of an early frost. The appearance turned out better as I layered the different colors in the bottle. Of course, the Mum got that pretty one! They tend to shrink pretty quickly when picked too, but another aspect I didn't know is that they're damn near all seeds....very little flesh to the chilis. Oh and another thing I noticed in the vid was that after 3 years sitting all the moisture was gone and the kegs were less than half full at that point.
  3. A lot of info I didnt know. I didnt know they grew in other countries, just thought it was all grown in Louisiana. Also didnt know they fermented it for 3 years. They said it was 70/30% chilis and vinegar. The bottled sauce sure is mild compared to a raw Tabasco chili. Also, every chili is picked by hand. I grew a Tabasco plant this year and it was a PITA. The fruit is not very big. I had a pretty big bush and I just had enough to fill a fifth Bourbon Bottle and Patron bottle to make a decorative pepper sauce to sit on a counter.
  4. Pretty cool vid on Tabasco process https://www.eater.com/2019/12/4/20995375/mcllhenny-tabasco-factory-red-pepper-sauce-louisiana
  5. He was one in 7.5 Billion. There is less creativity and new dishes these days, although its a different age where you dont really have to create anything to make music and a lot of it sounds the same to me. Bowie seemed to have a vision and a known direction that didnt always gel well with his fans at first, but everyone always came around. He always knew what was good for us in time and it always had his signature.

    Tug of War

Its a slice of a metal gable roof with 35" tires and a 1,000 lbs of torque and its very heavy. Who would have guessed that? He should have gone big and hooked it up to an F250 with the powerstroke in it. That would have been a statement.
  7. Anyone ever look at a leading name mens one a day vitamin and compare it to whats in sea water?
  8. Its amazing what the litter will do for a Hay field. It takes a long time for that smell to die down. My Grandparent had two houses 100 yards from their house and the smell just seemed to never go away until a year or two after they retired. There are some companies that take the chicken slurry from the plants and pump it about 18 inches in the ground for planting fields. A big cutter with a tank cart is pulled behind a tractor which I figure its just for Milo or Alfalfa and what not, but heck they may be doing it for edible Soy beans now for all I know. You wouldn't think they would allow that though
  9. I grew up in my childish years back in the 70's working in chicken houses, whether on the wrong end of a snow shovel or running a bobcat loader skimming the dirt floor free of the Chicken/Turkey litter. The rest of the time I would ride in deliveries with my two uncles in bob trucks spreading shavings, saw dust or rice hulls in chicken house floors once they were clean. This all went down in North west AR. After the truck was filled with the litter we had scraped, we would then go and spread it in hay pastures, so you got to enjoy the aroma once again. The odor in the houses was apocalyptic in the hot summer months and was pretty damaging on lungs for all in this trade. The dust and dried fecal matter was bad and you add the eye burning sensation and smell of ammonia and you better believe you earned your money. Im not a huge fan of Chicken or any fowl these days. They will eat literally anything, including a fallen dead comrade that has gone unseen from the house owner, just because they had them packed so tightly in there, you couldn't see a speck of floor anywhere.
  10. Everyone needs to start looking on the back of any package of protein for that dreaded line. Avoid anything grown or raised in Asia, if you're going to put it in you belly. http://chinawatchcanada.blogspot.com/2017/02/asian-seafood-raised-on-pig-feces.html
  11. All is well that ends well. Now tell us more about those tubes....
  12. Im assuming you have cut out the room EQ or whatever Yamaha calls their room correction? Im running a wireless video setup due to a cathedral ceiling and out of room equipment. My Video is around 1/2-3/4 of a second slower. Mine needs a little adjustment from time to time and it varies in DTV channels as well. Having lip sync issues ruins everything. I would also make sure to have all video processing or up scaling turned off the Epson, the BD player and the Pre. If you saw a change swapping out the BD player, you might try finding one with multi channel analog outputs. I would dumb everything completely down to help with narrowing the issue. Just keep eliminating variables and you will nail it
  13. The Pre amp should have a manual adjustment for this
  14. Make sure to tell him to downsize them. I got some Klipschorn "retro" style emblems from him off of Ebay and they're so large they look strange on the fronts of my K's no matter where I put them. Tell him to send you dimensions first. Mine would be great if they were half the size of what they actually are.
  15. Another option. American made no less
  16. Dont sweat it. That Amp has very, very low distortion and a stellar noise floor number. People freak out about big watt amps because they're usually a budget amp that is going to give you a hiss at idle or at a very low output. Not going to be the case with that amp. If there is any noise at a low level its going to be the SNR limits on that tube Pre.
  17. Great variety this year
  18. Anyone have any ideas for a new Hogs coach? Very painful time for the Hillbilly state. I think those folks, the boosters and the BOT have more money than sense up there. They have diluted that program to the point that I don't know of any half way decent name will show. I feel really bad for the players.
  19. I miss Marathon bars. Remember the ruler on the back of them?
  20. Another 40 gal gas and call it a day, you're good for another 10 years. Get you an estimate for the tank-less and that will likely seal the deal. BTW, it takes a much bigger tank-less unit in the real world than most people see advertised. Get the dishwasher, washing machine running and jump in the shower. That may be an unlikely scenario for you, but it sure isn't around our place.
  21. The basic old radio killed too many for me. I cant stand to hear Axl Rose's voice anymore. Many Beatles songs. Nothing from Heart and my buddy's wife is slowly killing Fleetwood's hits from my tolerance. Dont get me started on Mumford, the Counting Crows and a slew more.
  22. Coming out of the turn, almost entering the final stretch. Waiting for that plastic red look across the board and some corking to show.
  23. Just thinking about that Pork bits patty formed into a short rack of ribs makes me shiver. Oh and I will share that can of Sardines in mustard sauce with you, but even I have my limitations.
  24. Bro in-law loves the McRib. I can honestly say I would rather lose my trigger finger to a rusty sod buster than to be holed up in a vehicle having to smell one while it was eaten.
