With lots of help from Speakerfritz (Mike), I now have in my possession all the parts needed to turn 4 AA networks into 4 GOOD AA networks. I have plenty of really nice hardwood around so I will make up some new boards, and try to clean up all the parts that will get re-used. Anybody have any thoughts on weather to add the Zenners back in? As I understand they are just for tweeter protection (however I do not know if they have any effect on the circuit otherwise). Removing the crossover is bad, um kay.

The amp puts it self to sleep, so I don't ever turn it off, but I will try that.

I'm currently running my one piece industrial lascalas in my shop, still using the stock AA networks, I have noticed a fair bit of noise when I power down the pre-amp. I never had this with the Klf-10's that were fed with the same setup. I know these are more efficient but I really hate pops and such as they can damage things. Any ideas on what to do? Pre-amp is Zone 2 from my UMC-1 to a Jamo MPA-101.

So, what type of speaker is this, once the mod is done? Is it still considered a folded horn? Does it become a bass reflex, and the openings are just port?

I thought the Lascala mod involved cutting open the top of the dog house and closing in the back of the top section, then adding a port? Is this not it?

Gary, the only downside to having a gas cook top, is you will never be able to go back to electric. Congrats on the new stuff!

We are finally getting some, much needed rain. We will be watching the asparagus patch, it's really amazing how fast they come up. 6" in a day is not unusual. Was a cold rainy day so we didn't take any pictures, but we made a nice eggplant parm. We have found if you dredge the eggplant in fine grated parm (instead of flour) and really give it a great cheesyness. Then we layer it with suace and cheese and bake.

Just did a search, looking for the "A" network, but instead found where BC had posted the "AA". I see the diodes on that schematic, is what Mike posted above based on the A as opposed to the AA? What I have matches this. (taken from Bob's post)
