  1. Not Cornwall III's those are Cornwall I's - look at the position of the bass driver.
  2. 600 horn with a AA crossover?!!!! Blasphemy!!!!!! What was he thinking?!!!!! That's not how any of this works....that's not how any of this works at all!!!!!
  3. Well, my home is almost 100 years old, hard wood floors (but they are carpeted - planning on getting rid of the carpet). I agree with what everyone else is saying....however, most of the people answering have multiple subwoofers. Your room is on the bright side acoustically (hard walls, floors, glass, pictures with glass, etc.). I'd treat your first refection areas and I'd put bass traps in your corners. You more than likely have several room modes going on too. Many people don't like bass traps - I've learned to appreciate them (but what's even better than bass traps IMHO....multiple subs to cancel out room modes and ringing).
  4. Just realized you had La Scalas!!! Ok you have all the high and mid performance of the Khorn along with its sensitivity. What you lack is it's bass performance - buy yourself a couple of subwoofers, tune those in, and you will have Khorn perfomance or better in your room.
  5. +1 for the Cornwall trades (not trading mine). That's actually a good ideal for your room - you'd get about 92% of the Khorn performance and they would be easier on placement.
  6. As much as I like Klipsch - I've told you before....those Perspectives are addictive!!!!!!! The Pulsars had me hypnotized back in 2012!!!!
  7. Excellent!!!!!!!!!!! GLWYS!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. You and fate have just convinced me that Khorns are not in my near future . My speakers are currently 7.5 - 8 ft apart (that's from the inside corner of one speaker to the inside corner of the other) - although they would be further apart than your set up, I now believe that my current Cornwalls are the perfect size for my room . So my K-horn lust is subsided.....but what to do about this La Scala thirst that's building up!!!?
  9. He says the bass bins have "after market 12 inch woofers" in them. Shouldn't that be 15's?
  10. I told you guys, this fella (A1UC) changes equipment like clothes !!! Like a friend of mine use to say "Everybody ain't able"!!!!! Wow!!!! A1UC you're livin' it!!!!
  11. To make things interesting...and not that expensive - You may want to try a vinyl wrap on these. It's removable but it can also last a long time. When you want to go back to natural wood - or if you are looking to sell - you or the buyer wont have a difficult time getting the vinyl off Just a thought. Vvivid is the brand name the have a site online.
  12. My wife had Crab boil today, but my brother has gout and can eat a lot of seafood. What does this have to do with Ribeyes....while the mothers ate crabs and shrimp and the whole 9, we had almost two inch, dry aged, Delmonico Ribeyes today!!!! Wonderful piece of meat!!!
  13. let me school you, it's called a Pork Steak. Good piece of meat when BBQ'dYou can treat it like a chop, or like country style ribs....I know how to cook these very well!!!!
  14. Question - would you also lose your angle settings for your Atmos channels - aren't those set in YPAO-R.S.C.? I'm using a miniDSP(non DIRAC) for my subwoofer EQ.
  15. I like the Marantz stuff....quality gear in my eyes.
  16. Patience.....patience.....(just kidding).
  17. Naw - it's all good I had my chance and almost pressed that button...until I saw the decorators ending in a few hours with very little action on them. Ya snooze ya lose
  18. Yeah, it's funny how things turned out. Mustang Guy ended up making a decision that ended up affecting MY life in a significant way. I certainly consider have Khorns in my living room a significant upgrade to the quality of my audio life. But there are other decisions NOT made that did the same thing. Prerich might have made other decisions in the heat of the moment that could have resulted in HIM ending up with those particular fantastic Khorns. "These are the days of our lives, As The World Turns. Klipsch Forum style. Yep!!!!! You know how close I was to not putting those up in the Alerts? However I thought about how much I've been aided by the alerts (B&K 200.7 and Vertical Cornwall and I think one other piece) and the possibility of getting decorators for $500....yep decisions
  19. Now I can breathe and stop holding the secret of the transaction!!!! I wish I wasn't distracted by those decorators.....thought I'd save myself a few hundred - oh well.....Patience....patience....
  20. So those are yours? Saw them on ebay yesterday. Very pretty indeed!
  21. Must have been listening to them since his 20's....because he's only 45 years old - which is truly possible, why not - he's a Billionaire!!!!!
  22. I can tell you that using the PEQ's in Jriver can trump the SR-120. However everything will have to go through JRiver as well. Since this is a receiver - and you are not using preouts....let the Sherbourn do its thing. If you were running everthing through JRiver - I would use that. If you are running different sources - I'd run the Sherbourn for everything but the sub....I'd get a miniDSP for that....Having great success with mine!!!!
  23. Just checked Ebay to see if the decorators came back up!!!! That was a sore move!!! I was going to win at $500!!! Seller cancelled his auction and then relisted the item - this time with a buy it now of $1700 (which I will never do for black decorators) and now the seller has a reserve on the auction as well!!! If you have a price in mind - just put it up there and be honest from the jump, don't put up a no reserve auction if you're not willing to take the risk of not meeting your ideal price!!!!
