Predicting SB teams this early is like trying to predict the BCS teams. No wait, forgive me, nothing is that screwed up. Apparently there are alot of crappy teams in the NFL this year. I mean really, the Bengals are even having a winning season. There is alot of football left to play and the Saints are doing well but doesn't this kinda remind you of last year? IIRC the Saints started out 6-0 and then proceeded to go down in flames as usual.

We use the cheapest filters but change them regularly. We have never had our ducts cleaned. Nobody had their ducts cleaned until somebody dreamed that service up a few years ago. Go figure. Central heating and air has been around for 40+ years yet only in the last 10 or so do we need duct cleaning.[^o)]

The transport looks real basic and no electronics that I can tell. It has two separate electronic units (looks like they go in a rack) with 2 channels each. The two electronic units appear the same so I'm betting its a quad unit. As for me, I simply prefer analog music and play LPs mostly. I have seen several cheap reel to reel music offerings recently and thought I would enjoy giving that a go. I'm not interested in recorded with it per say. Just would like to listen to some prerecorded tapes. I bet that transport and the elec. units are heavy. Travis, thanks for all the good info. I will try for a closer look tomorrow.

I see where a neighbor has one of these and its going in the yard sale this weekend. It notice it takes the bigger reels. Appears to be a transport and then 4 tracks worth of electronics separate. Would this be suitable for hifi stereo? Can this even play 2 track stereo tapes? Any enlightenment appreciated.

I have heard not to freeze em fresh. Something about bacteria or toxins in the meat? Anyway, you can keep em alive for a few days while you stock up. We have placed a damp towel over them for up to 3 days in cool weather. If you could get 10lbs together that would be a nice little batch for 2 or 3 people.

We did 100lbs. back in the spring. My wife is a Thibodeaux from SW La. Dtel has pretty much given you the secret recipe. That's about how we do it. Only fresh cut lemons will do for us though. You should start with a few lbs of cracklins as appetizer though. If in Dtels area I just go to "Dockside" eatery and order 3lbs of fresh steamed.

I believe in common courtesy. If somebody takes the time to ask me a question on Ebay then I take the time to give an answer. Even if its not the answer they want to hear. Its possible he didn't get your question but I doubt it.

I can see why he probably wouldn't want local pickup with those auctions. He already has all his stuff setup for free shipping. Trying to figure out how much if any discount he could give you would be a problem. The shipping is already worked in the final price and he will have to pay a final value percentage to Ebay based on free shipping. Local pickup would screw that up too money wise. Last but not least, some buyers that say they are gonna do local pickup never pay and never pickup. Its usually best for everybody to ship unless its real heavy or real big.

Once you list an item Ebay will ask you if you have another similar item to sell. When you say yes, then you can adjust your copy/pictures for the next item without starting over from scratch. [] I start items that I suspect will be well recieved from a buck. If I need a minimum selling price I start the auction at that price. a BIN sometimes is a good way to make money quicker. Hidden reserves are a joke and make Ebay the most money. Make shipping options clear. I always ship next day after payment if anyway possible. Ending on Sun. or holiday always seemed best to me. You are at the mercy of the buyers, especially in the feedback dept. Treat them well.

Thats partly because mayor Bloomberg decided that he needed to make public comments about Plaxico's case and setting an example. I'm with you on this one Mark. Stallworth should be doing some hard time for killing another human being DUI. Plaxico should have gotten alot less than 2yrs for shooting himself. Now Plaxico did make a plea deal, which he had to do IMHO. I really believe Plaxico would have gotten the 3.5yrs if it had gone to trial. Confirms what I think about the judicial system in general.

For 2 channel listening I'd probably go with the Fortes. If your working towards a HT setup later, I'd be temped to go HII and a sub. I use my HIIs in the bedroom in corners and have been real happy with them. I have also used a sub with that setup and that works fine too. I don't think you can really go wrong so to speak.

It takes alot more energy to create lower tones than higher tones. (IE: 1000 watts of sub working with 5 watts of tweeter). When a tone is generated the harmonics of that tone mostly travel towards higher frequencies, no? When high tones (above 20khz) are generated the energy is probably quickly lost in those harmonics going lower. If thats all true then I just don't think we are getting anything audible from North of the border.

Just had a thought. VICK VS FARVE NFC title game. Wow. Recon anybody would watch that one? What Vick did wasn't a stunt. It was a lifestyle. Probably around fighting and abusing dogs his whole life. What went on at Vick's place had been going on for years. Wonder how many NFL football players were in on the fun? That until 2yrs ago when it all came tumbling down. Certainly not a rare or isolated thing either. That kinda crap is all around us. Go to your nearby fleamarket and see how many Pitbulls are there with spiked collars and their foreheads scarred up sitting behind a 1/2 doz. puppies for sale. Hmmm, wonder what they might be into............Sadly, I also suspect its a very rare prosecution to go after people fighting dogs.

Did you check the tensil wires that go from the speaker terminals to the voice coil. Could just be simple soldering job needs to be done.

I have both the 2.1 and 4.1 Promedia setups. We really enjoy them.
