  1. It was posted on eBay and usaudiomart. The eBay ad was ended early so it doesn't show up when i search for completed items. I spoke with the owner, he was from Scottsdale and only a few miles away from me. I had a pair a few years back so I know what to expect from them. When I had a chance to get another pair I jumped. Heresys drew me to this forum so i think it’s fitting to keep the handle
  2. I didn't look to see if it had gain controls but I almost pulled the trigger on an AT542NC, 2-channel 500 watt watt Hypex N-Core amp for $1,000 locally. I passed as I had just bought LaScala IIs from Schu and ALK Universals from Budman. There's always a new deal just around the corner. Your 1202 sounds like it should be a great fit for most Klipsch speakers.
  3. I had an Outlaw Audio 7-channel monster amp (made by ATI) that I liked a lot but sold when I bought my house. Used ATI amps look to be a really good value and plan on getting one eventually. Thanks for sharing your experience with us.
  4. What are your thoughts on the amp? Are you using it with chorus?
  5. I have Chorus IIs beside my desk which is like your desk running off of a Marantz PM8004 in a 10 x12' spare bedroom. I've previously used RB-3s on a desk for near field running off of a Peachtree Nova. I prefer my current setup but the RB-3s were good just not enough to be fill a whole house.
  6. If the stadium could be made passive I wouldn't hesitate to pick one up. It looks cool, sounds good and is structurally very solid.
  7. Looks like fun. Some day I want to practice soldering and try my hand at building some myself. Good luck
  8. The riser does but the grill attachments look like velcro which would be for a HII. The HIII uses magnets, I recall only having 4 points, in each corner, but I could be wrong as well.
  9. My friends and family would have the best xmas ever. I'd keep 10% and give the rest away.
  10. I visited a buddy working in Chicago and we went to a couple of basement bars, very cool ambiance. Chicago is a really cool town. As a kid I liked reading about Al Capone and other early gangsters. I'm sure that has inspired my style preference to this day. Here is the room I imagined these being customized for. If I had a dream home this would find a way into the plans.
  11. I have oak in my home and Schu's comment does not make me appreciate it any less. It actually made me laugh. Thanks for the laugh Schu.
  12. Agreed. Used I'd pay $250-500(max). New, $1,200 seemed reasonable but not so much at $2,000. My personal(worthless lol) valuation on Heresy speakers.
  13. I'm sorry for your family's loss Mike. You leave no doubt as to how much Newman was loved. She's up in dog heaven sharing stories about how awesome her parents were. My sincere condolences, Michael
  14. I've seen these before but not sure if they were ever posted here. Impressive custom job on these. $3,000 Louisiana https://www.audiogon.com/listings/lis95084-klipsch-klipschorn-monitors
  15. In addition to that the top hat gets the 1" thick treatment that the Lascala II bass bin got when it came out as well as grain matched veneer.
  16. I did notice a prison on the right side as I drove into the farm from the north side. It didn't look very large but I was following another car so I did not get a great look at it.
  17. Schu, what did you think of Shelby Farms Park when you were there? It may have changed a lot since you left as it looks like there were some pretty fresh landscaping done but maybe it had just been expanded. Lots of areas the look big enough and secluded enough to let a dog run off the chain and go swimming. It looks like a great resource and a place that it would be nice to live near.
  18. Thanks Schu but I have experience with snapping turtles from growing up in Michigan. I have never seen one quite that big but even with the smaller ones I know that they are dangerous. I did not know about their ability to jump however! That is good information to keep in mind in case I come across one.
  19. I do appreciate the heads up and crime is always a concern of mine. I definitley put in the time to research any potential home Im considering buying. Ive been fortunate to have made good choices so far.
  20. I got to spend a few days in Memphis this week. I felt like the people there were really friendly and it seemed like a nice place to live. It was pretty darn hot, 91-92° with high humidity which seemed a little warm for Oct. I was surprised at how easy it was to get around the area even though direct drives from point A to B were non exhistant. I checked out homes in Cordova, Olive Branch, Germantown, midtown and Millington. I ate at Rendevous for lunch. Checked out Main St, Beale St and Shelby Farms. Everywhere I went the people seemed genuinely nice and appeared happy. The last hurdle is to see what my salary offer is. Iguess i will find out if the VA MISSION ACT will impact the salary offers HR gives to transfers and new hirees.
  21. One or both of these with your Heresy IIIs would be a great match.
