  1. No real reason, just that that is all I listen too for two channel is vintage. I have a Harman Kardon for HT and I is a very nice sounding receiver.
  2. I think I would go with the HK 3470 or look on Craigslist for some used old vintage receivers. I have the AW 650 and you are going to be very happy with them.
  3. I will be pulling for the Bruins. One of the Original 6 and the Canucks knocked out my Blackhawks.
  4. One sided sticky velcro made by Scotch. I am not sure though if it would leave any permanent adhesive on your floor. http://www.scotchbrand.com/wps/portal/3M/en_US/ScotchBrand/Scotch/Products/ProductCatalog/?PC_7_RJH9U52300LM30I87QR3ES18H7_nid=QN1TR97WBWgs0KC1RG50RHglZB4MJGQL3Sbl
  5. May God bless all that have fought for our country and lost their lives in doing so. AMEN
  6. +1.... +2 Matt hopefully next year will be Indy and we can head down there together.
  7. It is a sport played by men and paid a substantial amount of money. Risk of injury is part of it and that is the way it should be. Someone gets injured, it is going to happen, if you can not take the risk, then let someone else make the big bucks. People are too sensitive to people getting hurt, it is a part of life and so be it.
  8. You know on a whole as a society we are getting way to soft. I wonder what people would say today about Ty Cobb and his spikes flying high sliding into bases. Athletes get paid good money and risks are involved, leave the game and it rules as is, $hit happens. Football too is becoming much less violent then it was because we as a society are becoming "*******". Just a combat veterans opinion of the situation.
  9. Reminiscent of Pete Rose and Ray Fosse. People blame Rose because it was only an All Star game but Rose only knew how to play at 110%.
  10. Last summer I had KHO-7s. I just replaced them this past weekend with AW 650s and I am pleasantly surprised at how well the 650s sound. I have not heard the rock speakers so maybe a combo of 2 650s and 2 rock speakers might work for you. I believe the 650s would fill your whole area with sound, but as previously stated you would have to keep the volume up.
  11. That is ironic, when my son was 12 he too scored better then half the seniors in High School. I was astonished not at how well he did but about how many stupid seniors there. My son was a latch key did for Jr high and High School. He always had good judgement and was never in any trouble at school but that did not mean we didn't worry a little. I am proud to say he just graduated from law school this past Sunday and has a full time job at law firm that will double his salary as soon as he passes the Bar exam.
  12. Here is one if you are in the Chicago area http://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/ele/2375671485.html
  13. I hope you did not get any virus or worm in your computer.
  14. Well the only thing I can say is your ears will have to tell you what they are worth.
  15. Well with that budget I would consider the SVS PB12-plus DSP http://www.svsound.com/products-sub-box-pb12plus.cfm Or you might consider the HSU ULS-15 with a smaller footprint http://www.hsuresearch.com/products/uls15.html GOOD LUCK IN YOUR SEARCH
  16. Scala???????? Never heard of them nor has the internet that I can find.
  17. I think I would try the same thing if I had your equipment. The worst that can happen is you will have to switch back; been there and done that.
  18. How big is your listening room and how much are you wanting to spend?
  19. djnick that's a good one Carl. Flashback======[8o|]
  20. To me I think the 30's would win the fight because they look bigger and badder and have more horns!
  21. Oh well I missed out on all the fun. DELETED------BANISHED
  22. Two off the top of my head Papa Was A Rolling Stone; The Temptations Jump Into The Fire; Harry Nilsson
  23. I have never had the Kenwood amp past 1pm on the volume control, with 5pm being full volume. My way of thinking is the more amps the more dynamic headroom. You will never really need all the 220 watts but reserve power at regular listening levels is what you have with a powerful amp. Just my opinion but I believe in it and am happy with. I had that same amp hooked up to my Chorus IIs,and at about 1PM on the vloume control dial, those Chourus had to be putting out close to 120db.
  24. This will give you and example of a bill of sale receipt: http://www.autocrisis.com/print_billofsale.html Yes I would put the Vin on the receipt. I used a Cashiers check when I purchased and did the transaction at a bank that did car title transfers. GOOD LUCK
