  1. I have owned both and for Rock which is what I primarily listen to the KLF just slams. The La Scala has a better midrange by a mile but if you want to feel those kick drums you will 100% need a sub. I have 2 pairs of La Scala's and no KLF's so I say get the La Scala's demo both sets in your room with your favorite tracks and then sell the pair that comes in second.

Your budget may accommodate any where from beater H1 to decent Forte/Chorus I or II if you're lucky. Not sure about the H3. The few I've noticed had been asking over a grand.

Agree. What size listening area do you have? If the room supports it and you find a set of Chorus within your budget I personally would grab those in any version. I have owned  H1's, H2's, H3's, Forte 2's, Chorus 1/2's and can tell you that out of all of those the Chorus line is my favorite home speaker.

If you are stuck on the Heresy (not a bad place to be at all) then I would look for a set of H3's or H1's. Everyone hears things differently so YMMV. Either way enjoy the ride and good luck with your search.

I broke down and bought a ROKU Premiere... I can stream most everything now so I guess it is worth it.  😁

Cool that is my favorite streamer, I like the search function the best as it searches across all streaming services to give you options as to what service may have a particular title for free.

My boss went in today because his younger brother committed suicide. This is a real problem in the U.S. often overlooked. Any resource given for those that are hurting can only be a positive one.

    Sorry for your loss oldtimer.

  4. Awesome build Mook, I mean OAF 🤪. Any reason why you didn't design the box to the same dimensions as the scala LF cab like the KP-480's? The 480's are the same dimensions as the LS LF cab and meant for the scala to sit on top of them. I have a set of 480's and have often thought about building a set that extend a little lower in sacrifice of output for smaller sound reinforcement applications. Maybe I missed the dimensions of the boxes but looking at those I bet some HIP's or other smaller heresy pro boxes would benefit greatly from those.

  5. I got these in a trade a few months back when I sold a larger set of speakers. They were used by my dad in house shop for about 6mths. He did not want to give these back to me but needed extra room for other equipment (he has KP-301's) :). These are currently sitting in storage and it's time to move them on to someone who will enjoy them (I have split La Scala's) :). So that covers the "why are you selling question". Now to the details.

This is a very nice pair of industrials that have been gone through by a forum member who does good work! They have Dave A’s smahl tweeter with the de-120 driver. The woofers were also replaced with Eminence Kappa 15c. Rebuilt AA crossovers. The Dog houses are braced and are panted with Duratex. These speakers sound fantastic. I really hate to let them go but it time to fund other projects. These are currently in storage so the pics I have are the ones from when I got them, they look the same! I'm located in Bentonville Arkansas and will not ship, local pickup only.  $1750 gets em. Don't bother with low ball offers or negotiations the price is what the price is if you like Pro La Scala's these won't disappoint.

  6. It's been awhile for that area to get a decent amount of snow. Right after I moved to Murfreesboro we got a nice amount that was 11ish years ago. When I was young I remember getting a couple of these (80's).
