Klipsch La Scala purchase with Mid and Tweeter driver issues

definitely . 1500$ is a steal , grab em before someone else does and I do mean run dont walk , cause the speakers I see are worth 3000$ , regardless of a bad tweeter or mids diaphragm . -
no , ideally you need a quality preamp with separate tone controls to allow you to EQ the sound , I would recommend the Mark Levinson LNP-2 , one of the best preamps ever designed by Mark Levinson himself .

Klipschorn, tail boards or not with tight corners?
OO1 replied to Audiophile53's topic in Technical/Restorations
pictures would help us to see what you have -
the Forte IV will do fine with the RC-64 center plus you already own other speakers with different timbres already and so far , this is un-noticeable ..the other solution would be to buy the RF-7 III instead of the Forte IV to have a perfectly matched timbre up front , the difference between both speakers is a tad more bass and a more detailed HF for the Forte IV .

klipsch cinema 1200 what problems, software flaws, glitches?
OO1 replied to karogs's topic in Home Theater
dont wait too long klipsch slashed the price for the 1200 and they're selling out like hotcakes , https://www.klipsch.com/products/cinema-1200-sound-bar-and-surround-system -
the Cornwall III are definitely a good deal if the speakers are in mint condition , otherwise pass , and dont wait too long because someone else may grab the deal before you do
-
he sure is , but these are long gone

this amp is quite rare in the USA or Canada , there are clones of these SET 45 amps since real Welborne tube amps are scarce , higher quality workmanship and sound quality , an amp for purists , either you like em or you dont , on the + side , the resale value is rising
-
the Forte IV should work fine with the 7015 , being it's rated at 125 wpc in stereo mode
-
beautiful amps , @Marvel used to own Welborne Labs 2A3 Moondogs

so much the better

good luck with your search , make sure to checkout the BGW VXi series https://bgw.com/amplifiers/vxi/vxi22

as long as you own the CS800 , you can do whatever you think is best , or if the price is right , you can offload the CS 800 amps after doing a slight refurbishing and get yourself the 750G , or you can buy the parts through your distributor and bring these amps back to full operation .
-
I've never used the CS 800 or any Peavey amp in our commercial installations , we only use BGW amps , these are real workhorses , but as long as you have the CS 800 , yeah , I would get these up and running if you think you can upgrade the amps to BGW standards .
-
if you like old power amps , you should be looking at the BGW 750 series or their more recent amps , the sonic and build quality of these amps is a lot higher than the DBX BX-1
